What Channel Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health
Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing, and monitoring the appropriate products and services. Channel Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding, and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability.
This is an essential channel marketing role that is accountable for the execution of critical projects and tactics to deliver against the downstream channel strategy for Embedded Pharmacy within the OptiFreight® Logistics marketing team.
The Channel Manager, Product & Solutions Marketing executes marketing strategies for products to differentiate Cardinal Health’s products and to grow revenue, market share, and customer awareness. Based on Marketing strategies and initiatives outlined by the Sr. Channel Manager, the Channel Manager develops marketing content and campaigns for Embedded Pharmacy. This job coordinates cross-functionally to gain insights and alignment across relevant stakeholders, manages relationships with internal and external partners, and reports on the performance of marketing campaigns.
Accountabilities
- In conjunction with the Sr. Channel Manager and product stakeholders from a variety of functions, develops goals and key performance indicators for marketing campaigns for each product and/or service in individual portfolio. Executes marketing campaigns against established goals for engagement metrics, return on investment, and other metrics.
- Manages content for marketing campaigns using content created by vendors, internally developed content, or a combination. Evaluates quality and alignment with marketing objectives, and coordinates with Legal team to ensure that all content is compliant with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Monitors key performance indicators throughout Marketing campaigns and makes minor adjustments to content and customer targeting as necessary. Coordinates with Sr. Channel Manager as necessary to make significant adjustments in response to poor performance.
- In coordination with Downstream Product Management and Development teams, help support launches for new products/solutions.
- Performs straightforward analyses of data from marketing campaigns. Coordinates with business intelligence teams or external vendors as necessary to track performance.
- Reports on the performance of Marketing campaigns during regular meetings with Sr. Channel Manager, broader sales calls, and meetings with internal product stakeholders. Summarizes and clearly communicates key performance indicators and provides insight on high or low performance.
- Analyzes market research, trends, projections, and innovations to formulate concepts for new marketing campaigns and approaches for products and services.
- Develops understanding of competitive landscape and participates in industry conferences and other events to promote Cardinal Health’s products and services and to stay abreast of market developments.
- Executes general contract management and administrative duties and general support for senior staff members as needed.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to fulfill applicable financial and operational needs of orders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years experience in related field
- Familiarity with logistics, healthcare preferred
- Experience working independently, using good judgment and leadership abilities to manage short and long-term priorities and projects.
- Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment. Understands and can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan, this includes identifying the appropriate channels to market. Has the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning and can establish and/or adjust the product offering.
- Proficient in mining research/data and interpreting findings to solve problems and tell a story.
- Microsoft Office experience with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Maintains a positive attitude with a focus on creative solutions and strong internal partnerships.
- Ability to travel up to 10%

Anticipated salary range: $78,500 - $112,100
