AKVA group are seeking a new Assistant Sales Manager to join our team. Candidates should be qualified to degree level and, or, possess equivalent aquaculture experience and have a full driving licence. The post holder will assist the Nets, Mooring and Boats Sales Manager in undertaking the effective handling of all day to day customer lead business for the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service to trade clients via phone, email, and in person. Meet and greet customers in our showroom, maintaining a pleasant and confident manner. Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Order Management: Manage and process trade customer orders accurately and efficiently using our computerised systems. Actively promote company products and services to trade customers.
• Showroom Duties: Ensure the showroom is well-presented, maintain brochure stock levels, and perform light cleaning duties.
• Administrative Functions: Support the sales team with various administrative tasks, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date. This includes following up on sales leads.
• Sales Support: Communicate effectively about the products and services offered by the company, helping customers make informed decisions.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a dynamic team, sharing insights and strategies to improve sales performance.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with CRM systems and order-processing software
• Knowledge of sales principles and customer service practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing
• Understanding of the construction industry and trade products (preferred)
• Valid driving licence (as the role may involve occasional travel)

The role can be hybrid with the office base ideally in Inverness or Elgin (or surrounding areas).

You will deal with a broad range of corporate transactions including complex, challenging and high-
profile corporate matters. The team covers M&A, corporate restructuring, commercial contracts,
regulatory compliance and corporate governance. Ideally, this role would suit an individual who has
connections to the Highlands, Islands or Moray and who is proactive in business development in
these areas.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis. Experience is advantageous but not necessary, as full product training will be provided.

We are primarily looking for applicants dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our customers while effectively communicating the products and services offered by the company. You should enjoy meeting people and engaging with them on a one-to-one basis, while also being able to work as part of a dynamic team.

You will be handling telephone enquiries, pricing and processing orders, and meeting and greeting customers in their homes and our all-product showroom. The majority of our sales functions are computerised, so applicants are expected to be competent in using computer software.

We are looking for individuals who display a willingness to listen, coupled with determination and the ability to develop into a focused and reliable member of our sales team.

Our standard working hours are 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.00am – 3.45pm on Friday. As a long-established Highland business, we offer competitive rates of pay based on your experience, along with excellent staff discounts.

This position offers a basic salary with commission available.
