FPGA Development, Analysis, and Verification Engineering Consultant, Senior
Key Role:
Support major microelectronics programs in the areas of design, verification, fabrication, packaging, technology node access, integrity, trust, and assurance. Provide technical and programmatic advice and support services for a range of advanced systems, sensor, and computer processing technologies and programs. Assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations. Support the design, development, test, fielding, and sustainment of advanced microelectronics systems and associated trust and assurance programs. Leverage technical expertise in the analysis and design of integrated circuit for critical technologies for the DoD. Assist the government with preparing assessments of technical progress toward major engineering milestones for a portfolio of unique and sensitive government programs. Maintain modernization tech roadmaps to microelectronics, including all DoD activities and program elements that are updated at the direction of the respective program directors, coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders, including DoD leaders, the Services, Agencies, and other key partners and refine and update Science and Technology (S&T) roadmaps based on feedback from stakeholders and changes to technology development investments.
Basic Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) development and FPGA research across multiple device families and platforms
- Experience with hardware and design security concepts, including verification methodologies and test benches
- Experience with performing security research for device types, including FPGAs and SoCs
- Experience with Xilinx Vivado
- Experience with leading technical development and working as a part of a verification team
- Experience in working with clients or customers to perform detailed performance and security verification of their designs
- Ability to perform strategic technology advisory services for senior Defense policymakers making microelectronics verification and assurance decisions
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with performing verification for Defense microelectronics systems
- Experience with the microelectronics design and verification landscape, including many types of IP Blocks
- Experience with Universal Verification Methodology
- Ability to teach others and lead a technical team standing up new verification capabilities and infrastructure
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Secret clearance
- Master's degree in EE, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred; Doctorate degree in EE, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
