An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Surveyor / Estimator with sales experience to join a well-established construction firm, offering basic salary of £22,500 and OTE £55,000 - £60,000plus excellent benefits

As a Sales Surveyor / Estimator, you will report to Branch Manager and engage with clients, assessing needs and tailoring product recommendations to provide seamless service in home installations.

You will be responsible for:

- Visiting customers in New Malden and neighbouring areas to take measurements and discuss product options.

- Advising on suitable solutions based on customer requirements and product knowledge.

- Preparing and issuing quotations.

- Managing emails and handling customer queries both in-person and electronically.

What we are looking for:

- Previously worked as a Sales Surveyor, Sales Estimator or in a similar role.

- Sales experience with a practical, hands-on approach.

- Ideally have experience working in the Garage Door/Construction Industry.

- Strong IT and communication skills.

- Valid UK driving licence.

Shifts:

- Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 5:00pm

- Saturday (onRota): 9:00am - 12:30pm

Understanding the pharmaco/nutrico/toxicokinetic behaviour of drugs, chemicals and food ingredients is a fundamental step in assessing the efficacy and safety of these materials. It can be challenging to study such substances directly in human subjects, while animal models lack direct translatability to humans due to inherent differences in species biology. One promising strategy is the use of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling to predict the local tissue and systemic exposure of these substances. We have developed in-house in vitro and in silico tools to model chemical absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) in humans using data generated from in vitro assays. We apply these tools to predict pharmacokinetic profiles in different settings, ranging from oral or transdermal administration to studying special populations such as pregnant women, for a variety of substances including pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, environmental contaminants, essential micronutrients and microbial metabolites. These capabilities are further enhanced with state-of-the-art, enabling technologies such as the SHIME® intestinal digestion simulator and spatial mass spectrometry imaging.

The following tasks are expected of the candidate:

• Literature search to extract relevant ADME data for chemicals of interest
• Perform in vitro absorption, transporter, metabolism, fraction unbound and other related ADME assays
• Quantify membrane protein, metabolic enzyme and xenobiotic concentrations within biological samples using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) instruments
• Integrate appropriate in vitro and in silico data into PBPK models to predict the ADME of chemicals
• Develop new and/or improve features of in-house models, including pharmacodynamic modelling
• Write scientific grant proposals, maintain laboratory notebooks, prepare scientific reports, presentations and manuscripts
• Supervise and train students and interns

Qualifications

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Science, Life Sciences or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of ADME and pharmacokinetic concepts is essential.
• Prior experience in in vitro ADME assays and analytical mass spectrometry workflows is desirable.
• Prior experience with PBPK tools such as Simcyp®, GastroplusTM, PK Sim, Matlab/Simbiology or other models is desirable.
• Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team, possess strong organizational and project management skills, demonstrate initiative and able to work independently.

Tenure track: Assistant Professor (Physical and Human Geography)

The Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting six (6) leading scholars with a commitment to making impactful contributions to research and education in the related fields of climate change and sustainability. We are seeking colleagues with a vision for change and who understand the importance of inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders and researchers, influencing public policy and shaping intellectual agendas.

This cluster hire will enhance research and teaching capability in the Department. We welcome applications from individuals with experience across the broad thematic reach of climate science, climate impacts and adaptation, human dimensions of climate change and sustainability, applications of geospatial technologies to climate change and sustainability challenges. We seek multiple hires at all academic levels. Indicative areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Climate Science and Climate Change: including global-regional climate processes; tropical urban climate; urban climatology and climate modelling.
• Carbon dynamics: Carbon fluxes, sequestration, accounting and carbon markets; low carbon transitions.
• Human Dimensions of Climate Change: climate change impacts, climate and mobility justice, social movements, gendered and racialized dimensions of climate change, transformative sustainability, livelihood security, political ecology, and climate finance.
• Climate Adaptation: spanning human adaptations to emergent environmental and climatic risks in the context of multiple stressors; sustainability, adaptive planning processes at one or more of local, regional, national and global scales.
• Climate Impacts: examining fundamental terrestrial, freshwater and/or marine impacts.
• Resource Security: Water, food and energy security spanning historical, political, social, economic and financial dimensions; sustainable management approaches; local knowledges; extractivism; energy transitions, alternative energy futures; agrarian transformations; oceans and maritime geographies; fisheries; resource conflicts and geopolitics.
• Migration, transformation and Environmental Change: migration under environmental change; immobility and place attachment; transformational adaptation and resilience; security implications of climate change; climate and mobility justice.
• Environmental Restoration and Conservation: ecological rehabilitation and restoration to protect against climate change and enhance resilience, including urban populations and infrastructure.

In terms of academic responsibilities, the successful candidates will be expected to:
a. Actively contribute to the Department’s internationally recognized research and teaching activities and commitment to lifelong learning.
b. Contribute to the delivery of the MSc Climate Change and Sustainability and other areas of the Geography programme (a minimum of two courses per academic year.
c. Supervise student research.
d. Undertake service duties commensurate with the level of appointment.

Reporting to Chief Experience Officer (CXO), who oversees the Client Engagement (CE) Team, this position holder is responsible for managing existing and fostering new clients for HCLI.

Key accountabilities include:

• Expand HCLI's brand in senior business circles via networks, external business conferences, and targeted partnerships to accelerate HCLI's brand.
• Enhance branding alignment and visibility by showcasing ecosystem partners' commitment by association with HCLI and its mission.
• Navigate internal structures within large multinational corporate organisations, government agencies and private enterprises to source for funding within various cheque-writing channels
• Benchmark HCLI for brand penetration, sponsorship/partnership and fundraising development vis-a-via NGOs, Chambers, Conference Organisers, Research and Other Institutes of Higher Learning for which HCLI competes for wallet-share
• Oversee the implementation of all outreach activities that are targeted at bringing senior leaders on board HCLI programmes
• Work closely with the programmes team to ensure the fulfilment of all obligations in HCLI’s contracts

Experience: Minimum 5 years of commercial and business development experience in Asia with proven track record in revenue generation and growth, preferably in executive education and consulting will be a strong plus.
