Job Description
An opportunity has arisen in our Performance Management Unit in the Education and Children's Service for a skilled and motivated data analyst and Research Officer.
The post offers a variety of information and research work in support of colleagues in Education and Children's Services dealing with a wide range of internal and external performance management requirements and requests.
The post holder will work as part of the team to support the Service Performance Management Framework responding to data analysis requirements. The post holder will be integral to the Scottish Government data collections, including the annual census returns.
You should have a relevant degree, research and data analysis skills, a high level of computer literacy and the ability to manage complex databases, evaluate information and prepare reports using various tools including Power BI. Relevant experience in the public sector, private sector, or academia would be advantageous, as would be knowledge and experience of data sets relating to Scottish Government data collections.
