The role
As an Engineer - Warranty and After Sales you will report directly to the Warranty Department Manager. Working closely with the Engineering and Projects Departments, the engineer provides warranty and aftersales support to our client's vessels.
The role is mainly office based (Rosyth, Scotland) providing internal department support, and remote support to clients, but can also include overseas visits to Clients, Sites, Suppliers and other locations as required to support the business needs as instructed, including technical discussions on proposals/solutions.
Day-to-day, you'll:
- Manage and respond to warranty and aftersales inquiries from internal and external clients.
- Maintain detailed records of warranty claims, including spreadsheets, databases, and correspondence.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues, providing solutions and guidance.
- Coordinate with procurement to order and ship replacement parts for warranty claims.
- Develop troubleshooting guides for common issues and provide feedback to design and engineering teams.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including shipyards, owners, and ship management companies.
This role is full time 37.5hrs hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home is based at Rosyth.
Essential experience of the Engineer - Warranty and After Sales
- Engineering background essential, preferably marine.
- Systematic, logical and methodical approach.
- Clear and confident communicator.
- Being organised, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Great attention to detail.
- IT capable.
- Able to work alone or as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Fluency in the English language (verbal & written).
Qualifications for the Engineer - Warranty and After Sales
- Minimum of HNC in engineering discipline.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS checks level for this role.
