The Business Relationship Team provide corporate governance, audit, risk and overall assurance to the company as well as dealing with first point of contact to customers into the company and manage the company’s information technology and information governance arrangements.

We are looking to recruit a new member into our fast paced team. We are looking for someone to help us provide technical, clerical, financial support services, who can provide excellent customer service. In return we will support you to develop your business administration skills and provide you with a wide range of employment opportunities.

The position is to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and there is the opportunity to work flexible hours. We offer 26 days leave, increasing to 31 with 5 years continuous services plus bank holidays.

About the role:

The role is based within our Data team which is responsible for delivering a comprehensive administrative service. You will work as part of a team to input Compliance Data into our corporate system to ensure the information we hold on our assets is accurate and up to date, playing a key role in keeping our customers safe. The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo. What we are looking for:

Experience using Microsoft Excel Knowledge required: Understanding of Group policy and procedures as needed and a basic understanding of compliance requirements within the Group. Business Support Assistant – Virtual School

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated professional to join Sunderland’s well-regarded Virtual School Team, part of Together for Children’s Education Directorate.

The Virtual School have an effective and experienced team who are passionate about ensuring vulnerable children and young people receive an education which meets their individual needs and works effectively with our partners to raise educational standards, promote inclusion and wellbeing, and improve the life chances of our young people.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide high quality professional, flexible, proficient and constructive administration, financial support and reception service for the Virtual School.

The post holder will be responsible for the administration functions of the team which include transactional, recruitment and finance admin.
They will offer support to the wider team, attending and minuting meetings as required, producing meeting documents within agreed timescales, maintaining casefiles and will be the first point of contact for all stakeholders.

They will provide support for training events, ensuring paperwork is prepared, assist with construction of presentations, venues are booked, and technology is available

They will ensure accurate records are maintained and will possess a sound knowledge of developed IT systems, contributing to statutory procedures, legislation, corporate standards and policies.
Much of the work is self-generating, and the post holder will be expected to work within established procedures and guidelines and to prioritise day-to-day work, referring only exceptional or complex queries to managers.

The Virtual School team safeguards and protects its pupils and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with the Together for Children’s Safeguarding Policies.
