We are looking for a qualified, talented, motivated, experienced and enthusiastic accountant to join the Adults & Health Directorate and take responsibility for leading our Adult Care Finance and Performance teams. The post will have a dual reporting line to our Section 151 Officer and Strategic Director of Adults and Health ensuring that our services can operate within a business focused approach.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Local Authority finance professional with the right value base and preferably Adult Social Care experience, to join our senior leadership team and help take our services to the next level.

You will take responsibility for our finance teams and performance monitoring team developing the plans necessary to deliver excellent services to our residents. You will have the opportunity to really influence the direction of the services and support our staff to make the continuous improvements needed to enable our services to flourish.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in supporting the development of our social care and public health services, offering inspiring leadership to our teams and influencing the strategic direction of our services linked to regulatory and business plan requirements. We are on an improvement journey and have brought together a range of services including for example commissioning, finance and performance, which with your expertise, will support the Directorate to operate within budgets and evidence compliance with a range of regulated activities.

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Account Manager to join our Inhouse Sales team. This position will be dedicated to managing and cultivating relationships with smaller accounts in the UK and Ireland, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and nurture strong relationships with field accounts by understanding their business requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers, addressing their inquiries, resolving problems.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
• Bring in to clients to achieve overall sales targets and support company growth.
• Collaborate closely with technical, marketing, and product teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Keep precise records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account statuses using CRM software.
• Generate regular reports on account performance and sales forecasts.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Requirements:

• Approximately 3 years of experience in account management, sales, or a similar role, ideally in the technology, manufacturing, packaging, vacuum, industrial or precision industry.
• Having a foundational technical knowledge in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, and Vacuum technology is an advantage.
• Completion of a commercial or technical apprenticeship or a hold a degree preferably in STEM / engineering or the sciences.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of establishing strong relationships with clients.
• Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to work without supervision.

Based: in Blackburn, UK, with home-based working pattern flexibility available.
Basic rate: £26.92 per hour plus any performance-related bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
• To develop a network of partners and leads within UK and overseas; in particular within the South Asian countries.
• Generating revenue through increased sales of vitamins, minerals and beauty products
• Developing and maintaining strong strategic relationships with business clients.
• Working under the supervision of the Company Director to expand the business by increasing the range of VMS products marketed.
• Be able to pitch products and services on a corporate level to our South Asian business clients.

Essential Requirements:
• Experienced in obtaining and managing new leads for the sale of UK VMS and beauty products across South Asia and Malaysia
• You must have a proven sales track record and experience in developing new leads.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills with business clients.
• Proficient in English and Urdu to degree level with experience of communicating with business clients on a corporate level. Being familiar with Hindi and Punjabi would be an advantage to this role.
• Familiar with South Asian import and duty requirements
