Scope of Work

The Clinical Utilization Management (UM) Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the clinical functions of the Utilization Management Department, which includes but is not limited to authorization, utilization review, clinical denials, and denial prevention strategies. The Clinical UM Manager will provide regional oversight of Clinical Utilization Management supervisory staff and Clinical Utilization Management teams, comprised of UM Coordinators and Analysts. This position requires clinical experience and experience managing staff, including performance monitoring, education and process improvement. Central to the Clinical UM Manager's role is to develop department goals, policies, and procedures in collaboration with leadership teams to support Utilization services in the provision of excellent clinical services.

• Responsible for managing activities of professional staff engaged in performing UM services. Oversees the orientation, training, and development of employees supervised. Provides direction and support to staff to ensure timely completion of requests for services, information, records, and data. Monitors staff productivity and effectiveness of work performed.

Summary:

As a contributing Foodservice Sales team member, the Associate Sales Account Manager) will report directly to a Director of Sales (DOS) or Foodservice Sales Executive (SAE). The position will have regular interactions with the DOS (or SAE) and other TMs, while focused on cultivating relationships and growing business with assigned distributor and/or operator accounts. This person will be accountable for building relationships, providing solutions to customers, selling incremental items, negotiating pricing/programs and prioritizing efforts against market plans. This position is expected to work cross functionally with various business units and trade teams to grow new business, protect the core and create a competitive advantage while attaining mix and volume targets. This role will sit in the Seattle area, and will not offer relocation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and/or cultivate professional relationships with identifying and targeting incremental accounts, assigned accounts within the market/geography to achieve business objectives.

• Gather, create, and maintain key insight for all assigned accounts including key contacts, correspondence, size of business, product/category risks & opportunities; competitive set; calendar/ timing and potential hurdles. Maintain and track progress using the CRM tool all applicable parties are aware.

• Execute and manage all strategic initiatives.

• Collaborate with Sales Development Business Units and Trade teams as needed to deliver and/or exceed sales plans by managing marketing programs. expense management and deduction resolution (as appropriate).

• Provide customer sales support for market events, meetings, presentations, product samplings and local trade shows.

• Must be able to deliver against assigned volume goals and execute price actions within the marketplace. Manage spend and manage the mix of product sold.

• Manage T&E Budget.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2-5 years outside sales experience in Food Service, Manufacturing, or Distributor Sales.

• Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Special Skills: Strategic thinking, planning, negotiation skills, understanding of motivational leadership skills, and conflict resolution skills; Event planning execution

• Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products.

• Travel: 20-30%

•    Maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
•    Ensure that status checks are completed on a bi-monthly basis. Utilize the status check as a way to monitor total sales associate performance and provide feedback of sales performance and observed behaviors. Address poor performers and coach them to achieve expectations.
•    Provide effective coaching to improve performance of all sales team associates.
•    Utilize the corrective action process to document and coach poor performers on team consistently
•    Recognize associate performance and motivate sales associates to improve sales and customer service.
•    Utilize the Belk boards to communicate upcoming activities as well as store achievements and results.
•    Maintain a high level of team engagement. Provide efficient, timely communication of policies and other information. Use necessary desecration to address all concerns or problems that develop within the selling area.
•    Recruit, interview, select and retain quality associates and ensure all positions are filled in a timely manner.
•    Work with Lead Scheduler to develop weekly schedules that match staffing to customer traffic and sales.
•    Supervise and manage the customer service experience is assigned departments.
•    Open and close the store, including weekends, as needed
•    Approve escalated point of sale transactions such as returns and voids, when needed to serve the customer.
•    Resolve customer service issues as needed.
•    Understand and be able to use all building operating systems
•    Operational Management: receiving, processing and placement of merchandise
•    Price change management, and merchandise return management
•    Maintenance and housekeeping management
•    Direct Floor sets and floor moves
•    Direct Sale sets and signing
•    Follow all policies and procedures related to asset protection and safety – such as floor sweeps.
•    Ensure team uses safety equipment at all times in accordance with OSHA regulations.
•    Support the review and execution of the store internal audit processes, as it relates to the STM functions.
