Position Overview

The Senior Director, Engineering, Sales Products is a critical role reporting to the VP, Engineering for Enterprise Systems and Experience (ESE), Autodesk's Information Technology (IT) organization.

You are a leader empowered to catalyze our growth to $10b+ through improved seller productivity, data quality, insights, and experiences to successfully scale worldwide sales.

You will have extensive Engineering leadership experience, sales domain expertise, and demonstrated influence collaborating across organizational boundaries to drive strategic product investments and land quantifiable business outcomes.

You will define and evangelize an inspirational north star vision based latest market trends, user research and discovery, to continuously improve our seller experience and help drive growth.

You may be fully remote or hybrid with a preference for someone living in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the product management peer to publish rolling 12-month roadmaps aligning to our goals

• Contribute to strategic planning processes to influence multi-year investment plans to drive the greatest business value

• Define OKRs including the measurement methodology, baseline, and targets by quarter, supported by a high confidence roadmap to land the committed business impact

• Lead a global engineering team and provide thought leadership on all systems and platforms used by the sales teams

• Engage with users to understand their requirements, address any concerns or issues, and build strong partnerships. Act as a trusted advisor providing technical expertise and guidance

Minimum Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Engineering, including creating and driving roadmaps from conception to launch

• Deep domain expertise in enterprise Sales including best practices to drive and support industry-leading Account Management, Opportunity Management, Sales Planning and Performance, and Sales Enablement

• Proven track record landing quantifiable business impact in partnership with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, product management, UX, and architecture

• Experience with technical concepts, modern engineering practices, and influencing technical leaders

• Experience driving global and complex business transformations

• Experience scaling and retaining high functioning Engineering teams

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  (List in order of importance)

In this vital role the Global Marketing Director is a critical role in the organization and has a significant impact in driving strategy and execution on products at all stages of the product lifecycle. For peri-launch products, including tarlatamab, the Global Marketing Director is responsible for maximizing the value of the asset within key indications, providing commercial guidance and vision, developing global launch strategies, anticipating lifecycle management opportunities to enhance the customer experience and competitive position, and optimizing the impact of marketing budgets.

Tarlatamab (AMG 757) is currently being developed for the treatment of both extensive and limited-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES- and LS-SCLC); providing commercial leadership to the development organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that this compound is developed with the future market in mind and in-parallel to late-stage indications.

This role will involve working with leaders across oncology to ensure that the insights and market learnings generated for other thoracic oncology marketed products (LUMAKRAS), other peri-launch assets (e.g., bemarituzumab) are appropriately incorporated into the commercial strategy for tarlatamab. It will also involve working closely with Amgen’s integrated brand team and brand working group selected local countries to integrate local market insights. In addition to the above responsibilities, this role will support broad strategic initiatives pertaining to the portfolio such as tumor-level patient insights, patient centric development, journeys and preferences, lifecycle management planning, and ‘global to local’ readiness plans.

This role will report to the Global Marketing Lead for tarlatamab.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with the Global Marketing Lead to gather deep insights into the customer, marketplace, competitors, and business drivers and develop a “gold standard” commercial strategy designed to optimize the future value of key indications for tarlatamab (including limited stage and extensive-stage front-line, second-line).

• Key contributor to relevant Insights and Brand teams and global marketing activities for assigned brands. Ensure that all portal decisions are supported by a robust commercial assessment including but not limited to an understanding of portfolio fit and organizational impact.

• Lead key marketing deliverables requiring cross-functional stakeholder alignment and input (e.g., Brand Planning).

• Ensure all marketing deliverables for assigned brands are on time and of expected quality in alignment with Amgen’s processes and requirements. These include contributions to Global Product Strategy, competitive insights, patient-centric deliverables, robust Target Product. Profiles, Forecasts, and strategies to enhance program value including LCM.

• Communicate commercial vision for disease-state for tarlatamab.

• Partner with launch markets for Launch Readiness Exercises (LRR).

• Lead for Commercial advisory boards.

• Prior experience in commercial positions with global responsibilities is important. Experience living and working outside the United States is highly desirable. Possesses an understanding of broad, global market dynamics and the cultural awareness and sensitivity to form relationships and work effectively with colleagues around the world.

• Broad therapeutic area expertise. Has worked in diverse commercial roles supporting several different disease states, on products in various stages of the lifecycle, with a diverse set of customers in challenging and competitive markets. Experience supporting partnered assets/programs.

• Prior experience in a tactical, “line” marketing role, implementing marketing strategies in local markets. Solid understanding of global market access, pricing and reimbursement issues.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, managing global projects involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities.

The challenge

Director, Business Development

This teammate will need be accountable for a portfolio across Northern California to Alaska.

Our Business Development “Team Pegasus” partners with Operations and other teams to build and execute growth plans in assigned geographic markets and in addition, identifies and develops strategic growth opportunities for innovative relationships and leads successful expansion of existing relationship. As the Director, Business Development you will direct strategic new business and ensures existing and incremental priority hospital, health system and accountable provider relationships are maintained. In this role, you work with Health Systems, Hospitals, and Accountable Care Organizations in collaboration with DaVita internal teams, to develop Value-Based Care and core kidney care relationships. Relationships built and maintained include, but not limited to: kidney disease management, care coordination (CKD through ESKD), development of new dialysis centers, joint venture partnerships, acquisitions, post-acute services, acute dialysis, and discharge planning services.

This role, reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development, is based remotely but the ideal candidate is based within proximity of the market comprised in Northern California.  Additionally, requires >30-50% of time externally with partners and internal team meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

• Development – serve as regional development executive within a $1+B operating group. Lead initiatives that drive long-term growth as part of division senior leadership team and Develop lines of business that enhance DaVita’s service offerings.
• Strategy – partner with Hospital division leadership team to analyze market trends and identify opportunities/threats. Develop plans for division to achieve Company’s objectives related to revenue, EBITDA, capital, presence, and other key measures.
• Transactions – source, develop, and negotiate complex renal partnerships with Hospitals, Systems, and Accountable Providers. Examples include Medical Director Agreements, Purchase Agreements, Operating Agreements, Hospital Services Agreements, and Value-Based Care Agreements.
• Collaboration – lead cross-functional virtual teams. Develop strong relationships with external and internal customers. Teams and resources may include Operations, Strategy, Finance, M&A, Legal, Hospital Services, Payor Contracts, Integrated Care, other.
• Partner Relationships – develop, manage, and/or track executive relationships with Hospitals, Systems, Accountable Providers and related stakeholders including, but not limited to employed Physician practices, assist with DaVita’s partner selection process for strategic opportunities.
• Value-Based Care – assist teams responsible for negotiating and implementing Value-Based Care agreements with the government and commercial Payors.  Build local relationships, assess Payor integrated care readiness, and qualify fit with DaVita.
• Deliverables – manage key deliverables. Prepare and deliver executive presentations to senior leadership teams within Company and at external partners.
• Reporting – update Salesforce.com and other internal tools. Provide timely status on accounts, opportunities and other growth initiatives within division.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education. Bachelor's degree required, MBA, MPH or relevant graduate degree preferred
• Healthcare Experience. Significant work experience in the healthcare industry with a Health System, Payor or provider; knowledge of industry dynamics (e.g., cost, quality, reimbursement, physician practice management, and risk-sharing).
  • Experience in development of new medical facilities, physician practice management, or ambulatory surgical center development preferred.
  • If no Payor or provider experience, then other relevant experience (e.g., management consulting, private equity, investment banking, and pharmaceutical/device).
• Development Experience. 5+ years of transaction experience in Corporate Development (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, other partnerships). Significant experience in influential leading teams to execute all aspects of transactions including planning, analysis, proposal development, negotiation, execution, and integration.   
• Strategy & Planning. Demonstrated experience analyzing markets, partners, and competitors to develop 3-5-year growth strategies and plans. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor. Collaborate closely with Operations and Strategy to prioritize and maintain focus on highest-value opportunities.
• Relationship Management. Passion for building trusted-advisor relationships with partners to create tangible results. Partners may include nephrologists, medical groups, health systems/hospitals, and health plans.

As the Global Marketing Director for early compounds in the obesity franchise, you will be responsible for providing commercial insight and guidance into compounds in the early stages of development, prior to pivotal/launch phase. This role will provide commercial leadership on PTs (Program Teams) and new assets entering product team stages. Cross portfolio assessment and strategic positioning across multiple assets will also be a key deliverable of this role. Future opportunities may include transitioning with these programs to pivotal/launch phase, and/or supporting additional disease-states. You will be responsible for ensuring that early-stage compounds are developed with the future market in mind and are designed for a high probability of commercial success. 

This role will involve working with global marketing leaders across Gen Med to ensure that the insights being generated in pre/peri/post launch products are incorporated into the commercial strategy for early development compounds. It will also involve working closely with local markets at key milestones to integrate local market insights.
