Job Description

South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking to appoint to the permanent post of Senior Manager Business Support following the retirement of the interim post holder. This is a relatively new post for South Ayrshire HSCP which brings together the management and leadership of business support staff from both the NHS and South Ayrshire Council. The post holder will have both strategic and operational responsibility for the business support function within the partnership which fulfils a critical role in the delivery of health and care services to citizens in South Ayrshire. The role includes responsibility for the general management of NHS premises occupied by the partnership. Health and safety within these premises also forms part of the remit of the post. The post holder is a member of the Directorate Management Team and reports directly to the Director of Health and Social Care. A review of the local authority elements of the role has recently concluded and additional investment to support the team has been agreed which it is intended will enhance the contribution of the service to operational delivery.

Pay rate: £8.65 per hour

Hours: 39 hours a week on a 13 month contract

Hours per Week: 16 hours with the opportunity to work more hours.
Shift pattern: Part-time - flexible shift patterns across mornings; afternoons; evenings and weekends, which will be discussed further at interview

What you'll do

In your new role, you’ll work primarily in a business change and delivery environment where, while capturing, validating and documenting business and system requirements and making sure that they are in line with key strategic principles. In the course of your work, we’ll also look to you to build, manage and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders and third party suppliers across multiple franchises and functions, including technology when required.

You’ll also:

• Create and maintain documentation, as well as support controls and quality assurance for key stakeholders and suppliers
• Identify and support cut-over and implementation tasks
• Trace and link business requirements to future state design
• Identify and understand problems, opportunities, risks and dependencies documenting these appropriately
• Assist business change activities such as adoption, business training and readiness, updating customer and colleague collateral and communications for new initiatives

The skills you'll need

You’ll need to hold an appropriate business analyst certification, such as BAX, CPRE and CBAP. Additionally, you’ll have a highly analytical mindset, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your work.

You’ll also need:

• Experience of applying analysis tools and techniques to achieve the best outcomes for both our customers and colleagues
• A background of delivering analysis within a business environment where agile transformational change has been implemented
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
