Job Summary
This role is responsible for valuable business performance analytics, recommends go-to-market actions, leads analysis of financial and operational metrics in order to provide actionable insights and to maximize marketing ROI. This role will involve understanding and analysing both commercial and consumer business.
Additionally, the role includes close collaboration with Data Science team.
Responsibilities
Business Performance Analysis:
- Evaluate the overall business performance by analysing key financial and operational metrics, considering the distinctive characteristics of commercial and consumer business units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and provide insights on how marketing can contribute to the success of both commercial and consumer segments.
Data Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of marketing performance data from various channels for both commercial and consumer segments.
- Identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators specific to commercial and consumer markets to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Generate separate reports and dashboards for commercial and consumer business units to communicate results and insights to the marketing team.
- Run analysis of historic financial and operational metrics, such as business seasonality, lead, sales pipeline conversion rates, to drive action planning.
- Understand and determine opportunities for predictive modelling in order to optimize operations and forecast future outcomes.
- Build data models, identify patterns, and data gaps
- Utilize and help optimize marketing dashboards and data models
- Reporting and presentation of data outcomes and recommendations
Build Insights:
- Proactively analyse relevant marketing data and campaign performance to identify trends, root causes and implications of results.
- Provide actionable quantitative and qualitative insights across marketing efforts to inform marketing strategies and campaigns, tailoring recommendations for both commercial and consumer audiences.
- Provide senior leaders/owners actionable recommendations and strategic plans based on analytical research.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer behaviour for both B2B and B2C markets.
Campaign Optimization:
- Collaborate with each marketing manager to hep to set realistic targets based on previous year results, campaign budget and strategy
- Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights, considering the unique needs and preferences of commercial and consumer segments.
Other:
• Be able to switch from Granular to Umbrella view (Zoom-in & Zoom-out) , adapt the story-telling based on the stakeholder org and needs
• Understand operational processes, marketing policies, measurement, analytical model, and actionable plan to maximize the return on marketing investment.
• Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
• Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and participates in providing mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
• Support data integrity, data accuracy and testing processes
• Work with internal and vendor support teams to report and resolve data/campaign discrepancies.
• Be the advocate for data and analytics needs in Market/Country
Education & Experience Recommended
- Bachelor’s degree or masters in Statistical / econometric / numerical / engineering / computer science / analytics.
- 2 to 5 years work experience in a similar data analyst role and environment, preferably in a marketing, sales or advertising and finance.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of interpreting data and analyses for solving business problems.
- Good understanding of the power of data in a similar field.
- SQL experience working with large customer and transactional databases.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills with the ability to manipulate data in Excel.
- Experience with Data visualisation software (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI, Datorama, Omniture/Adobe Analytics, Data Studio/Google Analytics).
- Experience using Python
- Some knowledge or understanding of analytical tools (e.g. R, SAS, etc.) for data analysis
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of sources of marketing and customer behavior data (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Datorama, Eloqua, Martech 3rd party data providers)
- Understanding of marketing technology platforms
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing channels across commercial and consumer landscapes.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills; ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools is a plus.
