Based: Abingdon OX14 – Full time based on site
Salary: £41,628.13 + 25 days paid annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays + company benefits package, training, and career progression

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Carrying out routine Maintenance to site Electrical and Facilities Equipment within a set schedule. Ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated electrical systems.
- Carrying out Electrical Installations including Testing and Certification
- Carry out 5 Year Fixed Electrical Testing as required
- Complete test and Inspection Certificates in line with Client requirements
- Supporting the wider team in other areas where required related to customer requirements.
- Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all electrically related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
- Electrical fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
- Keeping the CAFM system updated with works carried out.
- Ensuring onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated the electrical aspects of the PPM and plant.
- Work with specialist sub-contractors associated with electrical aspects of the PPM schedules.
- Liaising with the relevant managers daily to confirm all works are going to plan and no delays.
- Provide technical feedback in relation to work and equipment as required.
- Complete ad hoc tasks as requested by line manager.
- Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Essential

- City & Guilds Electrical Installation Level 3 2330 / 2360 OR Equivalent.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition BS7671
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience working as a qualified Electrician.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience working within an Industrial/Commercial environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment
- Must have a good understanding of Installation methods and selection of equipment required in Industrial premises’
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience of working within a customer focused environment.
- You will need to possess excellent communication skills and a flair for great service and leading by example.
- Strong administration skills, be well organised with the ability to process data quickly and accurately and support team members.
- Proficient in the installation of electrical trunking systems, conduit, and cable tray within commercial and industrial environments.

- Support the establishment of Business Change Management capability – identify, implement and continuously improve the core standards / policies / processes / procedures / templates needed for the function to provide an effective Business Change Management service to this Programme within Inventory Operations & Supply Chain.
- Identify, plan, develop and deliver business change activities for all stakeholders of the Programme, including communications, training needs analysis, organisation design and business readiness.

As a Business Support Officer, you'll be responsible for organising LDA meetings and providing administrative duties and project support for the Learning Disabilities & Autism Commissioning, Case Management & Keyworking Team. You'll collate information from various sources and produce documentation to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and quality. You'll need to attend relevant programme meetings as required, project papers on screen for online meetings, and produce concise and accurate minutes of the meeting for distribution to the group in a timely manner. You'll be responsible for a range of meetings, including following up completion of outstanding actions from relevant partners across the system on a regular basis. You'll also need to disseminate any information and reports for the LDA Senior Responsible Officer or Programme Manager ahead of meetings. You'll need to ensure confidentiality is always maintained and demonstrate a high level of discretion while ensuring that responses to deadlines are met. You'll also be responsible for raising purchase orders on behalf of the LDA Commissioning team and LDA Programme, including registration of new suppliers. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the delivery of a vital programme. As a Business Support Officer, you'll be an essential part of a dynamic and fast-moving team, providing administrative support to ensure the programme runs smoothly. You'll have the opportunity to work independently and exercise control over your workload, while also seeking advice and assistance from senior staff when necessary.

The post holder will: Keep abreast of current affairs and identify potential threats and opportunities. Contribute to Practice strategy; formulate objectives and research and develop ideas for future Practice development. Monitor and evaluate performance of the Practice team against objectives; identify and manage change. Develop and maintain effective communication both within the Practice and with relevant outside agencies. Prepare and annually update the Practices business development plan, and to oversee the implementation of its aims and objectives. Assess and evaluate accommodation requirements and manage development and expansion plans. Perform the role of Partnership Secretary. Take an active role in the work of the local Primary Care Network (Dicot PCN), identifying and delivering new services across the locality. Ensure that all activities within the Practice meet the requirements of the CQC at all times. Financial management Working together with our finance manager, managing the Practice budget and maximising income. Through negotiation with BOB ICB and NHSE, and via the preparation and submission of regular development plans, to ensure the Practice receives an appropriate and equitable allocation of resources. Understand and report on the financial implications of contract and legislation changes. Manage Practice accounts; submit year-end figures promptly and liaise with the Practice accountant. Undertake payments to suppliers etc. in line with credit facilities. Manage and reconcile bank accounts; negotiate/liaise with the Practice bank when necessary. Manage partners drawings. Manage and monitor payroll for all Practice staff. Manage contributions to the Practices pension scheme(s) and maintain appropriate records. Manage appropriate systems for handling and recording of cash and cheques and petty cash. Human Resources Oversee the recruitment and retention of staff and provide a general personnel management service. Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances with our HR Director. Ensure that all members of staff are legally and gainfully employed. Monitor skill-mix and deployment of staff. Manage staffing levels within target budgets. Develop and implement effective staff appraisal and monitoring systems. Support and mentor staff, both as individuals and as team members. Implement effective systems for the resolution of disputes and grievances. Keep abreast of changes in employment legislation. Maintain up-to-date HR documentation (including job descriptions, employment contracts and employment policies). Patient services Adopt a strategic approach to the development and management of patient services. Ensure service development and delivery is in accordance with local and national guidelines. Ensure that the practice complies with NHS contractual obligations in relation to patient care. Maintain registration policies and monitor patient turnover and capitation. Routinely monitor and assess Practice performance against patient access and demand management targets. Develop and implement an effective complaints management system. Liaise with Patient Participation Groups, both Oak Tree and locality with our Patient services manager. Information management and technology Evaluate and plan practice IT implementation and modernisation. Keep abreast of the latest development in primary care IT and regularly update the Practice management team. Motivate, support and monitor staff in the use of IT; organise, oversee and evaluate IT training. Set targets and monitoring standards for data entry and data collection. Ensure that the Practice has effective IT data security, back-up, maintenance and disaster recovery plans in place. Liaise with BOB ICB regarding systems procurement, IT funding and national IT development programmes. Confidentiality In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters. They do so in confidence and have the right to expect that staff will respect their privacy and act appropriately. In the performance of the duties outlined in this job description, the post-holder will have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, Practice staff and other healthcare workers. They will also have access to information relating to the Practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential. Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data. Perform the role of Data Protection Officer. Health & Safety The post-holder will implement and lead on a full range of Health and Safety promotion and the management of their own and others health, safety and security. All as defined in the Practices Health & Safety protocols, Infection Control protocols etc. This will include (but will not be limited to): Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks across the business. Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards, and initiation of remedial / corrective action where needed. Keeping own work areas and general / patient areas generally clean, identifying issues and hazards / risks in relation to other work areas within the business, and assuming responsibility in the maintenance of general standards of cleanliness across the business. Routine management of own team / team areas, and maintenance of work space standards. Demonstrate due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all. Quality The post-holder will strive to maintain quality within the Practice, and will: Alert other team members to issues of quality and risk. Assess own performance and take accountability for own actions, either directly or under supervision. Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the teams performance. Work effectively with individuals in other agencies to meet patients needs. Effectively manage their own time, workload and resources. Ensure that all aspects of the Practices clinical work are performed to defined quality standards e.g. QOF, CQC requirements, and that continuous improvement is engendered. Communication The post-holder will recognise the importance of effective communication within the team and will strive to: Communicate effectively with other team members. Communicate effectively with patients and carers. Recognise peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly. Contribution to the implementation of services The post-holder will: Apply Practice protocols, policies, standards and guidance. Discuss with other members of the team how the protocols, policies, standards and guidelines will affect their own work. Plan and undertake management and clinical audit as appropriate.

Hours: Evenings and Weekends - 8 hours a week with opportunity to work more hours.
