• Work together with Senior Business Analyst to support customers / stakeholders through transformational / change programmes.

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Business Applications Specialist within DTS (Business Services), to provide day to day support and the development of enhancements to business processes and systems. This is a permanent appointment.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, this role is responsible for contributing to the configuration and customisation of applications within the team's remit. You will be accountable for service delivery and quality of allocated work, promote service management and continual service improvement. Working effectively with stakeholders to realise the One Dundee approach.

Digital & Technology Services are currently undertaking a significant multi-year investment in new & improved services across the university. As part of this we are expanding our team and are looking for outstanding candidates to join us. You will be joining a team which is at the centre of the next stage of the university's growth.

Your priorities will include:

• To provide second line support for the University's information systems, troubleshooting problems as reported via the Service Desk, carrying out problem solving and configuration tasks to ensure the restoration of critical services.


• Conduct feasibility studies, assess and recommend appropriate solutions to fulfil business requirements.


• To carry out programming, configuration and development tasks ensuring that feasibility has been assessed and established; relevant documentation is maintained; test scripts are prepared, testing is successfully completed; and that information systems components are released into operations in accordance with DTS policies and standards.


• To carry out data transformation (extract, transform and load) tasks and to provide reports as required by undertaking the appropriate analysis in response to business requirements.

• A candidate who is highly IT literate with strong, relevant applications experience


• A candidate who can demonstrate ability to manage people and projects


• A candidate who has relevant service delivery experience of working an ITIL-based framework
