About the Role
To provide a comprehensive and flexible council-wide tailored business support service to internal and external customers of Nottingham City Council, enabling consistency of service delivery across the council and wider community.
Business Support Officers are expected to advise and respond to a range of enquiries from customers, signposting to services and requesting responses on their behalf. They will also organise, maintain and develop information systems, progress chase on a range of matters to ensure colleagues achieve Corporate, Departmental and external deadlines, as well as effectively communicating with internal and external customers face to face, in writing and over the telephone while adhering to the business support standards.
The successful candidates will provide administrative support to the team at Crocus Field Children's Residential Home who provide short term care for children up to the aged of 18. The candidate will be expected to provide holiday and sickness cover for Business Support Colleagues in other residential homes across Nottingham.
About You
- Ability to use a computer in order to prepare correspondence and maintain computerised records, and able to adapt to new IT packages;
- Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Sensitivity to the needs of customers and staff.
- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
