About the Role:
We are looking for Environmental Scientists or Engineers to join our Geosciences & Remediation Services Team and our Impact Assessment & Permitting Team.
Environmental Science / Engineering Intern (Geosciences & Remediation Services)
As an Intern you will primarily assist with fieldwork and data collection from a wide range of sites. You will also support technical reporting on surface water and groundwater monitoring and assessments, contamination investigations and remediation projects of varying size and complexity.
You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of industry leaders and technical experts. You will split your time between field work and the office, therefore an ability and willingness to travel and work remotely in the field, is required.
Typical tasks will include:
- Completion of desktop reviews of environmental data.
- Supporting with planning of site works, including subcontractor management.
- Completion of a wide range of site investigation works using different assessment methods.
- Supporting with the collection, handling and management of environmental samples from a range of media.
- Data management and interpretation.
- Technical report writing.
Environmental Science or Engineering Intern (Impact Assessment & Permitting)
In this role you will support the team to contribute with major infrastructure projects, including advancing next-generation transportation and renewable energy projects.
You will utilise your science or environmental qualification/s to problem solve, provide technical insight and communicate with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, drafters, project administrators and contractors, enabling you to develop your skills working in a fast-paced, consulting environment.
As an Environmental Science Intern, you will develop skills in
- Environmental assessment
- Approval pathways under Commonwealth State and local approvals frameworks
- Devise environmental management plans
- Support our clients’ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives
- Embed sustainable development and resilience outcomes within their projects.
