An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us in the Cardio-Respiratory department as a Band 4 Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner, specialising in Respiratory and Sleep diagnostics.

The role will be primarily based between the two local community diagnostic centres at Walton and Whitworth however successful candidates will be expected to also work within the main department at Chesterfield Royal Hospital when required.

This role includes performing pulmonary function tests (spirometry with airway reversibility study and gas transfer), setting up and downloading overnight sleep diagnostic equipment and dealing with patient queries regarding their CPAP usage/replacement of CPAP consumables.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.

We are looking to offer a full-time permanent contract for an inspiring teacher and leader to join our academy as Head of the secondary Science curriculum. The role will include a teaching timetable for KS3 and KS4. The staffing team will consist of 3 staff members which includes this new role. The Head of Science will take responsibility for the quality of the science curriculum and ensure that planning provides engaging lessons for our pupils and that lessons are fully resourced. The Head of Science will ensure that the curriculum is sequenced, that pupils make progress and achieve outcomes. We deliver GCSE Biology only and all 3 sciences at KS3.
