What You’ll Get to Do:
As a CACI-SOAS Electric Grid Supply Chain Expert, you will support the US Army North G5 Future of Homeland Defense Project in solving future problems that may face the nation out to the year 2040. US Army North requires subject matter expertise on an iterative basis to provide all source intelligence, analytical, and assessment tools to support the Future of Homeland Defense Project (HDP). The project incorporates inputs and collaborative efforts from USARNORTH staff, US Special Operations Command - North, United States Special Operations Command, Army Futures Command (AFC), HQDA, Department of Defense (DoD) personnel, TRADOC, Intelligence Community, and subject matter experts (SME) from academia and private industry.
More About the Role:
This is a part-time position that requires you to be on site at Fort Sam Houston, TX for one week each month to participate in HDP design workshops and collaboration with other SMEs. As the Electric Grid Supply Chain Expert, you will work with other Subject Matter Experts (SME) on the team to provide expert advice and guidance to clients, leadership, and VIPs. You will be an expert who specializes in centralized power generation, transmission lines, distribution through poles and wires, and delivery of supply to end consumers through retail businesses. You will be able to understand recent supply chain disruptions including geopolitical and economic events, transformations in industry, climate change impacts, and availability of basic inputs like steel and labor. You will be responsible for conducting experiments and writing white papers on the topic of issues facing the nations electric grid and how to best harden this network.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Current Secret Clearance required.
Minimum of master’s degree and 10 years of relevant work experience.
Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real or near real time knowledge management systems.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
Experience supporting the US Army or the Department of Defense requirements.
Must be able to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$124,900-$274,800
