This is an exciting time for you to join Chesterfield Borough Council as we look for a sweeper driver to join our streetscene team.
As a sweeper driver, you'll play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of our community. Your duties will include operating mechanical road sweepers on public footpaths and highways to make a proactive and positive contribution to the overall development, commercialisation, and reputation of the service.
Day to day normal working hours is worked in the following shift pattern:
mornings: 4am to 12pm
afternoons: 12pm to 8pm
These shifts alternate on a weekly rota, so it is essential that successful candidates are able to work flexibly within the needs of the service. You will also be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
To excel in this role, you must possess a valid driving license and either hold or be willing to obtain a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
