• Perform loading/ unloading/ arranging of warehouse cargo and items
• Collection/delivery of goods from/to customer scheduled by supervisor
• Check items at collection / loading
• Ensure goods are safely and timely delivered / collection
• Goods collected must be verified accordingly to customer’s gate-pass
• Assist in logistic duties, including packing & sorting of goods prior delivery
• Ensure vehicle cleaning and to upkeep vehicle maintenance, including petrol and regular vehicle servicing
• Ad hoc duties assigned by supervisor or management

Summary of role requirements:

• At least, 2 years of relevant work experience required for this role
• Valid LTA Class 3 & 4 driver license
• Good driving records
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Attentive, Reliable and Disciplined
• To adhere to the company's policy, rules, and regulations
• Able to perform OT when required which include weekend and PH
• Possess strong teamwork and able to co-work and co-ordinate

• Sea Freight Procurement: Negotiating buying rates to ensure business profitability.
• Optimizing profitability by developing yield improvement solutions.
• Establishing pricing and procurement guidelines in alignment with headquarters.
• Collaborating closely with the sea freight operations team to define and formalize booking instructions (Routing, Carrier, Schedule) according to customer constraints and yield management.
• Performing cross-functional collaboration (Business Units, internal customers, and pricing) to gather required information, including transport mode, price, and transit time, and providing solutions to operations.
• Monitoring price movements and seasonal fluctuations, conducting market analysis.
• Designing solutions for new products/lines by developing product strategies.
• Responsible for expanding service contracts and ensuring volume commitments are met.
• Taking ownership of FCL and LCL procurement practices in the Singapore office.
• Focus on growth of the FCL and LCL businesses
• Handling ad hoc tasks as assigned.
• Reporting to the Director.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree requirement with min. 5years of Sea freight experience
• Preferable experience in a fast paced and dynamic multi-cultural MNC environment. In Shipping Line, Freight-forwarding or Logistics industry is essential
• Understanding of margin (yield) management
• Good relations with carriers
• Resourceful, result oriented and able to work under pressure
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good inter-personal skills, able to communicate precisely and effectively
• Motivated, highly initiative, driven and result-oriented
• Able to work well in a team as well as independently
• Meticulous, analytical, and able to multi-task in a fast-moving environment
• Intermediate Access skill preferred
