You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and analytics solutions that support the planning, forecasting, and reporting of our supply chain performance. You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing global inventories, as well as excess and obsolescence, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.  You will also be responsible for teaching non-technical team members capabilities to self service automation and reporting.

To be successful as a Supply Chain Data Scientist, you should have a bachelor’s degree, and more importantly, experience with data engineering tools, frameworks, and languages, such as SQL, Python, etc. You should also have experience with ERP systems (operational and financial), reporting tools, automation, and ETL processes. • Responsible for ensuring customers are serviced with optimal performance tracking of KPI and metrics to ensure dedicated carriers are providing adequate service
• Responsible for managing controllable costs, including, but not limited to, carrier cost, surge expense, supplemental labor, fuel economy and equipment R&M.
• Provide load statuses and updates to other functions to ensure key businesses partners are informed on the daily execution of the plan.
• Responsible for monitoring yard operations and trailer availability to align with warehouse needs.
• Observe and audit processes to ensure that carriers perform all required activities in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This includes conducting periodic customer visits, driver ride-a-longs, and dispatch office audits.

• Drive a tractor-trailer (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver products
• Make an average of 6-8 stops per day; pallets can consist of all types of products
• Maneuver truck into loading or unloading position
• Weigh truck as needed en-route and/or at vendors to document weight and conform to state/company regulations
• Electronic logging according to I.C.C. regulations
• Inspect truck before and after trips and submit report indicating truck condition
• Read bill of lading to determine assignment
• Travel Required:Yes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

* Ability to load, secure and unload product safely, and maintain a route schedule

* Receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods to ensure timely service

* Demonstrated communication and customer service skills

* Accurate handling of CODs, delivery manifests

* Vehicle inspection, both pre- and post-delivery, compliance with all federal and state regulations

* Excellent attendance and reliability are critical

* With minimal supervision, demonstrated ability to solve practical problems

* Hazmat training a plus

Position requirements include:

* High school diploma or equivalent with prior delivery experience

* Medical examiner's certificate and the ability to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record within company policy limits

* Must be able to become certified through OSHA in the following areas: Basic Hazmat, Driver Specific Hazmat, and Security Awareness

* CDL preferred but not required

* Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

As a Van Delivery Driver you will be responsible for courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of products with a variable daily route. This role will operate the van in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail and safe work habits.  Additional assistance with store operations before or after completion of route.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage and further develop efficient and effective flow of work to attain optimum efficiency and productivity of department.
• Identify the existence and cause of problems and solutions to correct them.
• Utilize reports to quantify and prioritize workload.
• Manage communication with export related authorities, customers and suppliers in all relevant countries as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities.
• Work with other departments in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant export activities and support in relation to the organizations operating functions.
• Initiates, promotes, supports and implements change in order to increase organizational effectiveness.
• Make sound decisions based on analysis, experience and good judgment.
• Ensure staff has the training and resources necessary to perform their jobs.
• Negotiate with local carriers on spot pricing; issue rate quotes.
• Responsible for TSA compliance and maintenance for the branch.
• Provides quotes for internal and external clients.
• Takes part in outside sales activities with sales or management staff.
• Maintains current records on all truckers locally; i.e. insurance certs, current tariff.
• Coordinate work activities between office staff and 3rd party warehouse.
• Delivery documents to both 3rd party warehouse and US Customs for Export department.
• Meet with SSL, ocean carriers, warehouse agents, and Truckers to review service needs.
• Handle all shipments with compliance needs.
• Maintain local pricing recorders from all carriers.
• Audit Export files for compliance and Business process.
• Audit Export files for profitability.
• Handle processing of all dangerous goods shipment for Air Export.
• Take department concerns to upper levels of management as needed.
• Keep track of service faults by 3rd party warehouse.
• Other duties as requested

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED. College Diploma, a plus.

• Minimum 7 years relevant Export (Air or Ocean) and freight forwarding experience.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of procedures for international and domestic freight, trucking and warehouse services.
• TSA compliant.
• Dangerous Goods awareness.

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
