SUMMARY:
As a part of the Foodservice product training team and Tyson University, this role will be responsible for developing training programs for the Foodservice organization team members, external brokers and potentially, customers at the direction of the Senior Manager, and the Product Training team. Programs are defined as those delivered at Tyson University in person and in the field and will be developed around the needs of our team members to ensure we have programs/curriculums from “hire to retire.” These will include onboarding materials for new team members and product specialist training programs, among others as defined by Senior Manager, Product Training. This role will also be responsible for developing standard eLearning content and creating templates and models to use when building product training. This role will be responsible for understanding and co-facilitating onboarding classes alongside the product trainers. Also, this role will assign and manage eLearning courses for onboarding new Foodservice team members in their first 30, 60 and 90 days, and tracking their progress. This manager will understand the value and role of learning and development at Tyson and be skilled in discussing how this group adds value to Tyson team members, our broker partners, and our customers. This person positively represents learning at Tyson Foods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and deliver high quality learning and development programs, tools, resources, and activities. Include Tyson Foods differentiators into program design and delivery that will help drive sales of our proteins into the future.
Assist in developing communication programs around any significant roll out of programs (e.g., innovation launches).
Creation/development of Tyson University programs including eLearning, onboarding, sustainment, and reinforcement. Collaborating with the other Training Managers in the Tyson way of selling and sales skills we promote as an organization to ensure we are meeting the needs of the sales organization holistically and all training follows that framework.
Curation of learning content from materials provided by product specialists with the business units (BU) and the Customer Strategy & Execution team. Determine the best modes to deliver and the proper content to be included. Respond to training request and service needs quickly and accurately, ensuring timely resolution.
Creation of standard templates and formats for the product training team to ensure standardization and consistency of content for static decks and training tools. Using the current tools available (e.g., BrainShark, Vyond, Microsoft PowerPoint, and video). All content will be used for instructor-led programs at Tyson World Headquarters or in individual markets as needed in the field by our training team, virtually led or self-led, on demand, training.
Manage the online learning platforms and content for Tyson products for Foodservice. Establish key metrics to evaluate ROI and program effectiveness. Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
Assist in identifying priorities for product training development. Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
Pursue continued learning opportunities through relevant internal educational workshops and industry activities.

REQUIREMENTS:
- strong ability to follow up and follow through – doing what you say you will do.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and business writing skills with an ability to distill complex messages for end user consumption.
- Strong presentation skills both in person and virtual
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office; proficient in creating forms in Adobe Acrobat Pro; knowledge of training development software a plus
- Simple videography and editing skills a plus.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development strategies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in L&D or related
- 5 plus years business experience with emphasis in L&D, marketing and/or sales
- High sense of urgency and self-starter who is resourceful and capable of evaluating business situations and rapidly establishing action plans.
- Experience in deploying Microsoft tools to solve business issues, improve processes or enhance training.
- Knowledge of challenges in supporting a geographically diverse user base a plus
Special Skills: Possess solid presentation teamwork judgment and decision-making skills.
Travel: 1 to 2 trips per year
