Drive Profitable Business Growth

• Develop and implement sustainable business and route-to-market strategies for export markets through collaborative partnerships with distributors.

• Develop pricing strategies, including general pricing, promotional pricing, and trade margins, to meet targets within agreed pricing ranges.

Primary Function of Position

The Commercial Distribution Manager for ANZ & ASEAN is responsible for establishing, developing and supporting the assigned Distributor.  This involves becoming an expert in ISI commercial operations, sales processes, use of surgical robotics and building high-performing teams that establish mutually beneficial distributor relationships.  The position requires a number of capabilities including leadership competencies, clinical competencies, and a broad network within the surgical space, with commercial acumen.  She/He is expected to provide an extraordinary degree of communication, collaboration and information gathering while recommending solutions to Distributor Principals and ISI Leadership team.

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct proper due diligence on the current distributor and provide an executive summary.
• Teach distributor all aspects of clinical business, procedures and capital sales process.
• Assist distributor in developing their business plans, including quarterly system and procedure targets to achieve or exceed their goals. 
• Organize annual business planning meetings and quarterly business reviews with the distributor along with the appropriate planning and follow up communication.
• Organize and coordinate surgeon training activities utilizing the Technical Training Pathway (TTP).
• Develop/align on regional strategy to support the adoption of da Vinci surgery over 3-5 years with the Distributor.
• Conduct regular “field visits” in coordination with distributor representatives to understand market dynamics, provide coaching and bring value to customers to support the adoption of da Vinci surgery. 
• Provide distributor’ representatives with new and existing product information and assist them during initial launch and utilization of new products.
• Coordinate with multiple IS stakeholders (Customer Training, Sales Training, Regulatory, etc.) and distributors to maximize resource utilization, drive efficiency, continuously improve process.
• Assist distributor personnel with their operational activities including best practices with procedure coverage at hospitals, weekly reporting accuracy, capital sales and weekly forecasting. 
• Develop National and Regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s), reference sites and epicenters.
• Review and propose Intuitive Surgical presence in national congresses and symposiums.
• Timely expense reporting with an unwavering ethical business attitude.
• Perform due diligence on the distributor ability to support Intuitive Surgical customers’ needs based on distributor agreement terms and conditions

You will play a key role in elevating our engagement with strategic distributors in the JAPAC region. Your work will help us strengthen partnerships, define strategies, align priorities and ensure plan execution across sub-regions, with the ultimate outcome to accelerate our commercial segment revenue booking growth in JAPAC.

Your Impact

• Develop, plan and implement strategies (volume and value) to achieve revenue growth targets and enhance profitability
• Develop co-sell execution tactics, lead partner pipeline reviews and coach and challenge partners to transform their plans and strategies around sales and consumption - You will facilitate collaboration between the partners' sales team, and other relevant teams to overcome obstacles, compete, and create deal proposals to meet consumption and key revenue targets - You will work with your distributors on their top opportunities
• Responsible for your distributors’ overall performance and accountable for keeping a regular rhythm of connection at executive, and sales and delivery team levels, to identify and resolve blockers in execution, as well as accelerate performance - You will drive adoption, usage and performance of key programs and investments applicable to your partner, that contribute to sales and consumption with end-customers - You will be responsible for creating correction of error plans when execution is below expectations
• Build and maintain a trusted-advisor relationship with C-suite leaders of complex partners and will align partners’ priorities, strategies, and goals with PAN’s to build mutually beneficial account plans to achieve strategic alignment and drive growth
• Lead the integration of skills, capability, and capacity plans for your distributors utilizing the right mix of sales and tech training to increase the partners' capabilities - You will enable partners to build high-impact PANW offerings and practices which grows partner’s business and delivers cloud consumption and digital transformation
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute successful campaigns and programs
• Develop strong relationships with key distributors to drive business growth and foster increased customer loyalty
