- Performs analytical work concerned with receiving, handling, storing, issuing, or physically controlling items in storage, the selection of storage sites/facilities, materials handling equipment, and shipping and packing procedures.
- Organizes, develops, plans, and conducts studies and projects related to distribution operations, including bin and bulk storage space, shipping and packing procedures, and receiving and shipping functions.
- Performs workload analysis and collaborates with depot and management personnel to develop plans concerning workload processing, labor capabilities, and equipment resources.
- Studies functions and procedures of automated distribution systems; revises processes as necessary.
- Evaluates and monitors the implementation of systems, policies, and procedural changes to ensure efficacy and effectiveness.
