As part of our new Home First Team you will work closely with Health & Social Care and Acute colleagues whose focus is prevention of delays in hospital discharge arrangements and ensuring individuals and their families receive the best possible support in those first days after returning home. Working closely with the Home Support Team Leader, you will use a dynamic scheduling tool to ensure the people we support receive a prompt and efficient person-centred support which promotes greater independence and choice.

Key Duties

* Picking of Windows, doors, panels, glass and components for loading onto trolleys/lorries
* Co-ordinate finished products and other components parts from the various production areas in the despatch areas, in a logical
sequence
* Sort by delivery day(s), by customer, by job numbers on trolleys ready for loading and despatch
* Manually load the products onto vehicles, in the correct delivery, ensuring the goods are securely leashed to the sides of the
vehicle and protected against damage in transit
* Ensure that all accessories, samples and literature where necessary are loaded for delivery as required

* Reporting any missing items/shortages to the Transport Manager





To be successful in this role:

Your role as a full-time Delivery Driver:

You will be required to deliver a first-class delivery experience to all customers, delivering approximately 80 drops per day in your first week, increasing week-on-week thereafter.

Manual handling is a major part of working as a Delivery Driver - you may be required to load your own van at the start of your shift.

Requirements as a full time Delivery Driver:

• You must be aged 18 or above
• You must have a full and valid UK/EU driving licence for min 1 year
• We accept manual licences
• You need to be self-employed
• Parcel delivery experiences is an added advantage

Multi Drop Delivery Driver responsibilities:

Role summary:

To deliver customers' products to the required premises ensuring all customers receive exceptional customer service as part of a multi-drop delivery route. The driver will ensure that all products are transported safely to the customers' premises, treating their freight as if it were their own.



Key responsibilities

-Represent DX in a professional manner at all times

-Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements at all times

-All daily checks are undertaken ensuring defects are immediately reported and correct paperwork completed

-Ensure all product are scanned using DX scanning equipment

-Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the depot

-Observe DX procedures and policies at all times

Working as a Class 2 Driver we have nights shifts available:

• Nights – Sunday to Friday - between 8pm-10pm start - 8-9hour shifts
• TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE

The rate of pay per hour as a Class 2 Driver is between £13.52 - £14.43 per hour. Payrise and overtime available after 12 weeks

Duties and responsibilities as a Class 2 Driver are:

• Safe operation and upkeep of vehicle
• Interacting with companies and public in a professional manner when required
• Maintaining an organised travel schedule
• Deliveries will include a mixture of customer mechanical offload and manual driver offload.
• You will be required to do no more than 10-15 drops per day.
• You'll ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely, paperwork updated and assist depot staff with heavier items from time to time.

The ideal candidate for a Class 2 Driver would need:

• Full UK Driving License
• No DR10 endoresments
• Must hold Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Driver Card
• Good verbal communication
• No more than 6 points, no DD or CD, valid and up to date drivers CPC and digital card.
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility is essential
