  • Perform stock takes as and when required.

You may be required to use manual handling equipment for bulkier items.

Here at BCA Logistics, we touch over a million vehicles a year, working with manufacturers, fleet operators and dealers to provide the backbone of the UK's automotive supply chain.

Due to our ever-increasing volumes, we are looking to engage additional Self-Employed Driver contractors throughout the UK who can help us deliver that service.

What do I need? - No experience is needed as a full 2-day technical service familiarisation seminar available, at a site local to you. You do not need your own vehicle and there is no initial outlay of any cost. We do however require the following (essential):

• Held a full UK Manual Driver Licence for at least 2 years (registered to your current home address).
• No more than 9 points on your licence (and no serious motoring offences).
• Aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes).

We are seeking to recruit a Technician Trainer to join our Motor Vehicle team at Peterborough College. Working closely with the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of workshops ensuring that there are tools and materials readily available for all learners.
This is a hands-on role, supervising and coaching students whilst assisting the tutors. If you have a real flair for passing your knowledge onto others, a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to act as a role model, this could be just the job for you.

Are you a friendly, customer focused 7.5tonne driver with experience in home deliveries and lifting heavy goods?

This is not just a driving role. You will be the face of our clients business, so having excellent customer service skills and the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture every day, with manual handling experience is essential. We take pride in ensuring our clients customers receive their delivery to a room of their choice with a first class, friendly service.

As part of a two-person delivery team our Customer Delivery Drivers will deliver mattresses, bed frames and furniture products into customers' homes and may help to assemble the products in their room of choice, being a key representative of our clients brand.

7.5 tonne Customer Delivery Driver - Huntingdon - £13.96 - 15.64 per hour

Monday - Friday position! No weekends!

So, what will you do?

• Lift and manoeuvre customers' orders including beds, mattresses and/or bedroom furniture to the room of the customers choice as part of a 2 man delivery team. Ensuring the home is left clean and tidy


• Engage all customers by communicating in a warm, friendly and professional manner, ensuring they are left with a positive impression of our service, championing our products and doing all you can to deliver a great customer experience, as you would expect as a customer yourself.


• Complete your deliveries on time, to schedule and most importantly ensuring your customers are left happy, keeping your customer informed by calling ahead.


• Use the PDA scanner and complete paperwork to ensure customers orders are delivered correctly, promptly and accurately, and working with warehouse and cross dock teams as necessary to ensure products are loaded and delivered safely without damage.


• Ensure your vehicle is clean and fit for the next delivery, monitoring for road worthiness and reporting any defects, ensuring compliance with all transport legal requirements.

Who do we want?

• You must have a UK driving licence Cat C1 along with a valid driver's CPC DQ card / valid drivers digital card


• Previous commercial driving experience in a 7.5t vehicle


• Previous experience and understanding of using digital tachographs


• Good people skills and some previous experience in a customer facing role


• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture with manual handling experience is essential


• Understanding of EU Driving legislation and tachograph law


• Desirable experience of using a PDA

Role responsibilities:

• Main Responsibilities include:

  • Picking, packing and delivering approximately 7000 pieces per annum
  • Driving approximately 60% of shift, delivering to a customer base of up to 20 sites
  • Multi drop pattern of up to 20 drops per driving shift

  The main accountabilities of the role are divided into three areas; Warehouse, Driving and Office based. The duties include, yet are not limited to:

  Warehouse

  • Receiving deliveries from the European Distribution Centre (EDC), putting stock away in the correct location.
  • Picking Customer orders and loading relevant vehicles in accordance with a delivery schedule.
  • Quality Control - minor rectification work, where there are small defects you may be required to polish the glass.
  • Undertake and maintain good housekeeping, ensuring that all areas are kept clean, clear and free from hazard or obstruction.
  • Perform stock takes as and when required.

You may be required to use manual handling equipment for bulkier items.

• Experience of driving Commercial Van is required.
• Current B Licence required

Due to ongoing growth we require FULL TIME self-employed driver contractors based across England to join our expanding network across the UK .

Home based you will start as a Self-Employed Vehicle Collection and Delivery Driver

You will collect and deliver vehicles across the UK. You will be required to plan your own travel between drop off and collections by utilising public transport or through the resource of our network of drivers

Following a successful probationary period, you will be up-skilled to be a Corporate Handover Driver and ultimately trained to join our Inspections team working on blue chip accounts as an Inspector/Driver enjoying the additional benefits associated with the role

Experience is not essential as full training will be given, you must have good customer service skills, a working knowledge of vehicles and have a professional can-do attitude
