The role

As a Collection and Delivery Driver you will be based from home/nearest WEBUYANYCAR site and will be collecting and delivering vehicles from sites on a daily basis.

You will be working within a team of driving using a runner vehicle to get you to your jobs. Minimum use of public transport but if required all expenses will be covered by us.

You will typically be working 40 hours per week between the hours of 7am-7pm. However, you are paid from the moment you leave the house until you get home.

You will receive a full company induction via our in-house dedicated Driver Training Programme, all equipment provided along with fuel cards and company credit cards for travel expensive. We also have a dedicated team for WEBUYANYCAR drivers to provide day to day driver support.

HGV Driver / Shunter

Location:Southampton

Salary:Very Competitive

Full Time, Permanent position

10 hours per day, Monday - Friday + Excellent Benefits

An opportunity has arisen for anHGV Driver / Shunter to join a dynamic firm. Our client specialises in rental, leasing, services for the transport sector.

In this role, you will safely transport trailers within the yard and to various destinations, while ensuring all assets are prepared for MOT testing.

You will be responsible for :

- Prepare HGV trailers and trucks for MOT testing at an off-site ATF lane.

- Conduct voluntary brake testing and load weights for MOT preparation.

- Perform yard and workshop shunting.

- Liaise with DVSA personnel and third-party contacts at the ATF lane.

- Undertake MOT steam cleaning tasks and assist with minor trailer repairs and trailer cleaning and

- Identify and report potential business opportunities to managers.

What we are looking for:

- Valid HGV Class 1 licence.

- Forklift licence is desirable.

- Strong enthusiasm and effective communication skills.

- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete relevant documentation.

- A customer-focused attitude and high level of professionalism.

Booker Fareham is excited to announce an Open Day for all Class 2 drivers on Saturday, 20th July 2024! As the newest distribution centre in the Booker network, we proudly serve the South East region. At the end of last year, we transitioned from a Makro store to our new Booker distribution centre and now we\\'re looking for Class 2 drivers to come and join the best in the business!

We\\'re recruiting for Class 2 drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores.

Our Class 2 jobs do require handball and manual work which can be a physically demanding. This includes working outside in adverse weather conditions ad handballing product at some of the delivery points.

Ability to deliver excellent customer service

Experience of multi-drop; temperature controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential

Available to work 48 hours a week (overtime available)
