The position of Class 1 Driver involves:

• Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
• Delivering and collecting goods to customers using a curtain sided vehicle.
• Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
• Using a handheld PDA to complete daily vehicle checks.
• Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
• Attending regular training sessions.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Driver:

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Working to deadlines.
• Confident, polite and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

• Resolving operational problems

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer-focused role within the air freight sector, with a solid understanding of inbound and outbound air freight customs processes.
• Have previous customer service experience in a similar air freight role
• Must have experience of inbound/outbound air freight customs process
• Be customer focused and dedicated to providing great service in all circumstances
• Have a strong attention to detail and be process driven
