- Analyzes, and designs the operation of aerospace vehicles and structures operating within the earth's atmosphere through all phases from production, operation, certification, to maintenance of aerospace vehicles associated equipment.
- Engineers, analyzes, and understands the natural environment effects on the selection, design, construction and operation of aircraft, missiles, and space vehicles.
- Performs problem solving in regard to basic terrestrial and planetary atmospheric environment input data needed in response calculations of various vehicle systems.
- Conducts specialized studies on flight vehicles, which may include overall and individual major systems components, and additional airborne equipment encompassed in the structure, to ensure their safety, suitability, and effectiveness in operation.
- Reports to the supervisor on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, and work processes, including individual and team training needs.
- Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among employees; arranging for team member training; monitors and reports on the status and progress of work.
