**Job Title:** Vehicle Fitter

**Location** : Kidderminster

**Hours:** 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursda

**Salary:** £11.45-£12.64 Dependent on experience and qualifications (includes bonus scheme, pension, and AXA health scheme)

**Basis:** Permanent



**Duties:**


* Support the Production Manager in ensuring a high standard of Refuse and Recycling vehicles are developed and built.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and carry out work in accordance with supplied build packs.
* Operate power tools, hydraulics, and electrics, and carry out MIG welding (desirable).
* Work efficiently to meet build process deadlines and produce finished products on time.
* Raise issues during the build process, document any changes, and actively capture information to standardise future builds.
* Coordinate with sub-contractors (e.g. Camera, Weigh) on-site, monitoring progress and ensuring timely appointments.
* Assist with finalising paperwork and preparations for vehicle inspections and testing.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure safe working practices at all times.
* Perform other duties as required in line with company needs.

**Requirements:**


* Mechanical knowledge, ideally from commercial vehicles, plant hire, or the body building industry.
* Strong ability to work with power tools, hydraulics, and electrics, and a willingness to learn MIG welding.
* Good understanding of time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent organisational and administration skills, with attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.
