Job Introduction

We are looking to recruit a Master Vehicle Technician to join our Volvo Dealership in Worcester.

Our Vehicle Master Technician will play an important role within our service team by consistently providing first class diagnostics and repairs, taking the very best care of our customers vehicles from start to finish.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, 40 hour week with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8:30am to 1pm (averages out at 41.5 hours per week).

Our packages and new pay plans are industry-leading and are reflective of each applicant's experience and skillset.

• The basic salaries up to £45,000.
• Bonus / OTE’s up to £48,000.
• OTE Hourly rates up to £22.24.

Roles & Responsibilities

Your role will include, assisting the Service Manager, accurately and skilfully undertaking the repairs and servicing of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, industry guidelines & completed to the highest standards. You will coach, mentor and provide diagnostic and technical assistance to other technicians to speed fault diagnosis and accurately specify repair solution.

About you

• Highly trained Master or Diagnostic Technician with heaps of industry experience
• We are welcoming applications from experienced Vehicle Technicians trained to diagnostic or master technician levels, within a franchised dealer environment. If you have knowledge of the VW brand that would be fantastic but not essential.
• You may be a Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, HGV Technician or Auto Technician who is looking for progression.
• Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would still be interested in talking to you.
• You will hold a Level 3 NVQ, or equivalent, in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Role and Responsibilities

• Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
• The main responsibilities would include electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
• Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles such as the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on areas such as batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
• You will have the ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
• You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting i.e CitNOW.
• You also will be able to complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.

About you

• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join Listers.
• Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
• As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

This is a temp to perm role moving permanently after 6 weeks. The ideal candidate must have FLT experience. If your current certificate is out of date then my client will be happy to put you through a refresher course but you must be able use a FLT as at times you will be required to load a van on your own.

Responsibilities:
- Perform picking and packing duties to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage or loss
- Utilize a warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Stock shelves and ensure proper labeling of products

Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 20KG on a regular basis
- Experience in warehouse operations preferred but not required
- Proficient in using a forklift and other warehouse equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

Any call out is at X1.5 of your hourly rate. You will not work the next day if called out but paid as normal.
