REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3 plus years experience in a supervisory role.

2+ years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus; HACCP certification a plus understanding of basic HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification; knowledge of fresh meats processing a plus. P hysical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; fixed ladders stairs steps etc. able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most of the areas range from 28 - 45 degrees. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management.

Special Skills: Team leader problem solving and motivation to take on special projects.

Supervisory: Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility; includes managing all production supervisors department production schedules product rotation CCP verification schedules and overseeing safety committee; includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop improve deficient areas.

Travel: Some travel required as needed.

Experience: 5 plus years of related industry, tray pack preferred; 5 plus years supervisory experience in a meat processing facility pork or beef preferred; and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HAACP regulations.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.

Special Skills: Leader problem solver team player.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws; interview hire and train team members; plan assign and direct work; monitor and appraise work performance; reward coach counsel and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems.

SUMMARY:

The Sanitation Manager leads the Sanitation team and supports sanitation excellence throughout the plant.  Directs and manages the management team to ensure the cleaning of the plant production equipment and facility to meet food safety requirements as required by FSQA, USDA/FDA regulations and meet customer quality and safety standards. Ensures Team Members follow Company policies and procedures. Ensures sanitation quality and department efficiencies are maintained at or above standards. Supports the commitment and continual improvement to Food Safety and Quality programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is a highly technical position that requires proficiency in problem solving, investigations and root cause analysis as it relates to sanitation and identification of related issues with the processing facility.  The ideal candidate would demonstrate proficiency in leadership, problem solving, and the ability to influence others to be successful. Applies principles of food safety, microbiology, sanitary operation principles, sanitary equipment design, HACCP, root cause analysis, risk assessment, issues management, regulatory compliance, and quality control. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Safety, Microbiology, Engineering or related technical field preferred

Experience:

• 3+ years of progressive experience in the food industry sanitation experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and sanitary design. 7 steps of sanitation.

• Experience in successfully addressing environmental wet and dry sanitation challenges in areas such as drains, floors, walls, roofs, and equipment.

• Thorough knowledge and experience with diverse sanitizing applications.

• Understands the principles behind verification and validation methods and has experience in application.

• Knowledge of HACCP and sanitation principles.

• Knowledge and experience working with both COP and CIP operations.

• Understand and can apply basic through basic microbiological principles.

• Proficient in analytical, critical, inductive, and deductive logic and reasoning.

• Adaptable, flexible yet effective in time and scheduling management.

• Occasionally required to conduct meeting or lead groups discussions.

Computer Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of a personal computer outfitted with Microsoft Office software including Word Excel and Outlook.

Communication Skills: Effective written and oral communication. Ability to engage all levels of employees and ability to work effectively with a team are required.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment buildings and utilities including ammonia compressors offal and Wastewater Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions

• Ensure that all maintenance personnel are well trained on the most updated version of operating equipment as well as other maintenance skills

• Provide a safe workplace and comply with all safety and regulated programs

• Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime

• Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify issues

• Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system SAP for tracking work orders

• Maintain and track adequate and appropriate inventory of replacement parts

• Make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems through analyzing data

• Ensure that all maintenance personnel are properly trained, equipped, and motivated so maintenance programs and processes can be accomplished in a safe timely and efficient manner

• Ensure the Costal Training system is in place and communicated to maintenance personnel and provide the resources for skillsets needed

• Maintain a tracking system that assists in analyzing key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, etc.

• Ensure all safety, health, OSHA, PSM, and environmental policies and procedures are in compliance with company policy as well as local state and federal regulations

• Ensure safety program is communicated and enforced

• Monitor and administer purchasing and use of all parts, equipment materials, and supplies are utilized in the maintenance department

• Ensure refrigeration system and wastewater systems are well maintained and meet all regulatory guidelines

• Administer the maintenance budget and ensure the achievement of financial goals

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 4 plus years of upper maintenance management experience required. SAP experience required. 6 plus years maintenance experience preferred. Experience preferably in a meat processing facility and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills.

Special Skills: Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical refrigeration hydraulics or mechanical.

Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.

Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
