SUMMARY: This position is responsible to safely operate a company provided truck tractor to move and park trailers on the yard in and out of docks and other locations on the property. This information is used for internal and third-party audits and verifications by QA HACCP and Manifestors This provides proof of compliance with regulatory and company policies. Maintaining knowledge of all empty trailers as they arrive and inform the shipping team and management. Reporting all activities to management and or team lead throughout the day as needed or requested. Maintain the overall product acceptance ensuring compliance with USDA SSOPs GMPs and HAACP. Adequately be able to perform all EIM SAP functions utilized within the shipping department

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive eight (8) plus years experience in poultry production management, with a focus on both growout and hatchery operations. Live poultry preferred.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of poultry health, nutrition, and biosecurity practices.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for production optimization.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to navigate and supervise operations in various environments, including breeder, growout, feedmill and hatchery facilities.
• Physical fitness and ability to travel as needed.
• Must use safe lifting techniques.
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms balance stoop talk or hear.
• The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.

Other Requirements:

• Computer Skills: Standard skills are required. This position requires in working with Excel spreadsheets and data within several other computer applications.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to converse about their business in an environment containing senior leaders involving a group setting.
• Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
• Biosecurity: When visiting jobsites biosecure environments showering before entering the facilities is required. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens, ducks, and birds. The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
• Supervisory: 15-20 plus salaried team members.
• Travel: Will be required to travel to all breeder, growout, feedmill and hatchery facilities within the specified region. Outside the region up to 10-12 times a year.

A fit candidate will have to relocate to Gonzales, TX or at least 50 miles near the location.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; maintain non- union program; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation security and food safety; manage evaluate and train production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred.

Experience: 5 plus years of related industry; 5 plus years supervisory experience in a meat processing facility pork or beef preferred ; and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HAACP regulations.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.

Special Skills: Leader problem solver team player.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws; interview hire and train team members; plan assign and direct work; monitor and appraise work performance; reward coach counsel and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems.
