This position is accountable for leading efforts to grow regional groundwater hydrogeologic consulting services.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to grow regional groundwater consulting services.
- Evaluate soil borings, electric logs and region hydrogeologic data to identify productive aquifer zones.
- Responsible for integrity and validity of acquired hydrogeologic field data.
- Complete groundwater modeling, aquifer pumping test analysis and water quality analysis.
- Provide technical support to deliver hydrogeologic projects locally and in other U.S. based offices to support business growth.
- Partner with regional account managers to develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients to ensure regional short term and long-term goals are met.
- Direct contact for branch field operations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in geology, hydrology or geotechnical engineering.
- Licensure as a Professional Geologist, Certified Engineering Geologist, or Geotechnical Engineer is desired.
Work Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in hydrogeology or related field.
- Ability to work unsupervised for long periods at a time, to ensure a successful project with limited management oversight.
- Experience in communicating complex problems and exhaustive findings to mid and upper level management.
- Experience in hydrogeologic consulting.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Knowledge of subsurface investigation processes including drilling and soil classification
- Knowledge of water well design and drilling methods
- Understanding of state groundwater regulations, permitting and water rights
- AQTESOLV or similar software
- MODFLOW or other model codes
- GIS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of sample material or core boxes. The employee is required to walk uneven and steep ground to access property for the purpose of field mapping. The employee must be able to work outside all seasons of the year, all day long. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Base Salary Range:
$62,442.00 - $93,662.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
