Brown & Brown has an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Placement Marketing Representative for our Commercial Lines team in Longmeadow, MA. This individual will be responsible for supporting the retention and growth of business through strategic placement while servicing and managing client relationships.

This opportunity is in-office or hybrid.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Develop a full working knowledge of commercial lines procedures.
• Manage the renewal process, including loss trend analysis, market analysis, renewal pricing negotiation, and renewal proposal preparation. Prepare and review monthly marketing analysis to achieve department goals and objectives.
• Identify new opportunities, market trends, and client product and service offerings.
• Implement marketing strategies, incorporating new products and services for select markets.
• Identify gaps in coverage, as well as work through complex coverage needs.
• Manage the assigned book of business, including—but not limited to—processing policies, endorsements, invoices, certificate issuance, premium breakdowns, auto ID cards, and policy changes.
• Ensure internal compliance and client disclosure requirements; meet client expectations, legal requirements, and insurance operations.
• Support and mentor the sales team with new business meetings and implementation of new clients.
• Establish carrier partnerships and internal resources to optimize coverage, services, and pricing.
• Create and present educational materials for value-added services to the sales and services team.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all commercial lines of insurance coverage
• 4+ years of generalist commercial insurance experience
• Active Property & Casualty License
• Insurance designation is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and maintenance of acceptable insurance coverages required.

About the role:

THIS IS AN UNDERGRADUATE Summer only INTERN position located in the Greater Boston area with the ability to sit in our office in Boston in a hybrid capacity. Only full-time students will be considered.

This position performs a variety of internship assignments that supports the Human Resources team for the benefit of our teammate programs.  Responsibilities include HR projects and administration.  This position is a part time role, within our virtual profit center and has accountability for in-office work in Boston on a regular basis. 

Core Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Will assist with filing of personnel and confidential teammate files in Sharepoint in accordance with established Brown & Brown best practices and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations

• Supports teammate communications process, drafting HR announcements and all-teammate communications under the direction of our HR team

• Administrative support for HR projects and administration

• Supports the activities of our Culture Committee on projects and virtual events

• Supports the HR Leader with activities related to the Company’s Mental Health Teammate Resource Group (ERG)

• Assists in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, follows up with candidates when appropriate and communicates effective messaging on behalf of our companies

• Assists as needed in the teammate Onboarding process for new hires

• Assists in preparing documents, such as offer letters and employment agreements under the direction of our HR teammates.

• Supports the HR team with ad hoc requests or HR projects as needed

Skills needed:

• Must be actively pursuing a college degree in an HR-related field

• Familiarity with MS Office 365

• Professional demeanor, willingness to learn

• Flexibility to perform a wide variety of tasks and to learn about the business

• Ability to commit to the summer term

The Regional Trainer is accountable for the design, development, and implementation of accessible and personalized F&I learning solutions. The individual in this role will work closely with internal stakeholders, teams, and subject matter experts to train and deliver updated processes and technology to a dealership

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Deliver training programs to agents, and partners through a variety of methods, such as classroom training, webinars, and workshops.

• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to participants during training sessions.

• Continuously evaluate and improve training delivery methods to enhance participant learning outcomes.

• Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling training sessions, managing registrations, and ensuring training resources are available.

• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.

• Provide mentorship to peers and partners across the organization.

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Dealer Technology

• Excellent communication skills

• Minimum of five (5) years automotive Service Department experience

• Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter

• Maintains minimum acceptable insurance coverages as outlined by the Driving For Business policy

• Ability to learn from experience and apply that learning to perform successfully under new or first-time conditions.

• Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy under direction from the BBDS Training Director

• Ability to travel extensively

PREFFERED

• Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree

• Professional training in education or training and/or five years' experience as a trainer.

• Ten (10) years automotive Service Department experience

• Five (5) years in a dealership management position with verifiable references for management skills
