General Responsibilities:

• Organize and track business development department leads to support accurate departmental reporting

• Build trusting and professional relationships with clients, account teams, vendors and carriers to improve client sales opportunities.

• Develop leads through the following activities with minimal supervision for small to medium-sized clients:

  • Collect and document information about potential leads

  • Perform discovery calls

  • Research compatibilities of available systems between existing benefit programs, carriers, vendors, and client requirements

• Recognize and assign support issues to other department resources that are outside of the scope of business development in a timely manner.

• Accountable for individual quality assurance on business development activities for low to moderate complexity clients.

• Anticipate and respond to customer/account team questions as assigned and working directly with customers and account teams

• Train and mentor future Business Development Analyst and Senior Analyst roles.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum education preferred: Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience. Ability to readily learn and apply new information/concepts.

• At least 2 years of experience with employee benefits

• At least 2 years of experience with Benefits Administration or Comparable Software (Employee Navigator preferred)

• Proficient with MS Office Suite. Experience working with personal computer database applications.

JOB DUTIES:

• Professionally handles all incoming calls from claimants or medical providers and ensures that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.

About the Role:

The Sr. Financial Consultant must have a deep knowledge and extensive experience with underwriting Group Life & Disability national accounts. Additionally, this role is responsible for providing analytical support by collaborating with the Account Management teams to further research findings found within the analysis by talking through observations and what opportunities or concerns those facts present.  Engaging directly with external clients to support the Account Management team when reporting questions are asked and/or if reporting metrics need further explanation is required.

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Develop and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting accurately and timely on behalf of the PillarRx clients
• Attend meetings and act as a subject matter expert in data analytics and reporting concepts
• Work with IT teammates to implement new reporting tools and capabilities, specifically Qlik Sense.
• Complete ad-hoc reporting requests and projects as needed.
• Responsible for end-to-end design and development of Qlik Sense application.
• Identify areas of improvement or enhancement that could elevate the PillarRx reporting suite
• Support the Account Management team with observations within the reporting metrics and collaborate to bring explanations and further research to those observations to discover opportunities and/or concerns
• Assist with continually enhancing and building out the user reporting interface with new reports, visuals and functionality for both internal users and clients
• Support internal projects for enhancing in-house functionality surrounding the PillarRx reporting capabilities
• This position will include job duties that require risk designations for access to Electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of their job responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, articulate, and provide advice on the overall intent and meaning behind the regulation/legislation that governs an employee health & welfare benefit plan.

• Stay abreast of newly released health and welfare laws, rules, and regulations in order to prepare memoranda and articles for release both internally and externally.

• Respond to questions from internal teammates concerning health & welfare benefit related laws, rules, and regulations.

• Assisting teammates with questions related to SPDs and Form 5500s.

• Contribute to creating compliance presentations related to the laws, rules and regulations that apply to health & welfare benefit plans for customers, prospective customers, and employer groups.

• Contribute to creating compliance presentations related to the laws, rules and regulations that apply to health & welfare benefit plans for training purposes for teammates/employees of Brown & Brown for training purposes.

• Focus heavily on the writing and research of the more complicated topics related to the laws, rules, and regulations related to health & welfare benefit plans.

• Collaborate with other departments including the population health and wellness team, actuarial team, operations teams, communications, marketing, and any other stakeholders the Regulatory and Legislative Strategy teamwork with internally at Brown & Brown.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Juris Doctorate degree preferred, but not required.

• 3+ years of employee health & welfare benefits background preferred.

• Excellent oral and writing skills, with experience in writing, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing complicated laws and regulations related to health and welfare benefit compliance, with a proven record of critical thinking and application of the rules preferred.

Summary:

Seek out new accounts and service existing accounts for the agency by helping clients choose warranty setups that best suit their needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients. 
• Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various products to promote sale of vehicle service plan.
• Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs and to discuss existing service plan coverage.
• Call on F&I Managers in Auto dealerships to explain plans, to suggest additions or changes to their selling technique.
• Explain necessary bookkeeping requirements for dealer to implement and provide program.
• Confer with clients to obtain and provide information when claims are made on a policy. Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitable for both the client and the insurer.
• Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and services. To learn new skills and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.
• Train dealers on sales process and F&I process as needed.
• Attend trade shows to promote company lines of business.
