As the Team Lead for NSS-N, you will report directly to the Branch Chief of Cyber Technology Security. This role demands a candidate with substantial cybersecurity expertise and demonstrated leadership skills. The chosen candidate will guide a team of engineers in the utilization and management of Network Defense tools, including inline file, streaming, sandboxing, and mail filters, among others. This position encompasses technical leadership and the coordination of support activities in line with the strategic direction established by the Chief of TCS Cybersecurity Engineering.
Your responsibilities as the NSS-N Team Lead will encompass the comprehensive day-to-day management of the team's operations. This involves ensuring operational readiness, compliance with all Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and the effective coordination of a variety of tasks. These tasks include performing daily systems checks, implementing customer-support rules and signatures, upholding performance standards, managing component upgrades, re-provisioning assets, and conducting troubleshooting as required.
What You’ll Get to Do
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead a team of cybersecurity engineers dedicated to developing, enhancing, and maintaining sophisticated software systems for the US Intelligence Community. Your leadership will encompass a broad range of engineering and supervisory responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Overseeing team assignments efficiently through the ServiceNow ticketing system.
Acting as the primary technical lead and escalation point for architecture, system, and various other tasks, managing a team of 10-15 direct reports.
Championing staff development and facilitating comprehensive training programs.
Engaging in collaborative efforts with senior leadership and leads from other engineering disciplines to drive project success.
Leading the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Directly interfacing with clients, representing the team at program reviews, and effectively communicating technical and project statuses.
Monitoring project progress in collaboration with program managers, ensuring adherence to schedules and the successful completion of objectives.
Playing a key role in new business development and proposal creation by leveraging your expertise to conceptualize technical solutions and estimate necessary resources and timelines.
Fostering a culture of active leadership, teamwork, continuous improvement, and positive feedback, setting a high standard for team dynamics and performance.
Coordinating team schedules to guarantee comprehensive coverage (5 days a week, 16 hours a day) including rapid response for emergencies, authorized outages, and critical incident resolutions.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with experience working on US Government contracts.
DOD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
7+ years of related experience in SEIM, network operations, network engineering, leading technology teams, leading operation cybersecurity teams, or a combination thereof.
Mentoring junior engineers, and developing future managers.
Proven delivery of production-grade software solutions that include security, diagnostics, maintainability, scalability, auditing, and complex multi-layer troubleshooting.
Experience tracking schedules, resource allocations, and reporting status to customers and upper management.
Excellent time-management, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a team and mission focus.
Good attitude and flexibility.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
CSSP Manager certification
Understanding of Department of Defense standards
Experience with US Federal Government customers and DoD IT security requirements
Experience with ServiceNow, Elastic, Proofpoint, Email Gateway, FireEye, Firepower
Programming and scripting languages

$89,500-$188,000
