Function background / context:
The Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team is a critical component of Citi’s First Line of Defense for wholesale lending and counterparty credit risk. It partners with businesses Citi-wide to ensure we have best-in-class risk and control capabilities. ICM also plays an important role in Citi’s Transformation efforts by helping to drive a Citi-wide focus on wholesale credit risk management. Through ongoing investment in processes, controls, systems, and governance, ICM continues to further embed consistency and best practices across Citi, driving closer alignment between our business and regulatory goals. Our goal is to transform the end-to-end wholesale lending process and establish a consistent operating model with a focus on improved processes, controls, and enhanced technology to achieve best-in-class processing capabilities to support our client franchise. Shared National Credit (SNC) regulatory reporting remediation efforts will be a key near-term priority.
ICM is looking for a highly energized, dynamic individuals with knowledge of wholesale lending (preferred). They should be ready to join a fast paced, world leader in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will work with transformation leads to analyze processes, risks and controls in the wholesale loan lifecycle process. This includes collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, gather pain points in existing processes and recommend changes. The role requires familiarity with process simplification methodologies and risk management principles. The candidate is expected to be a self-starter and be comfortable to work with ambiguity under tight deadlines. This includes solutioning complex interconnected processes, draw sound conclusions and obtain buy-in from stakeholders.
The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include:
- Work with cross-functional teams to analyze, modify and build process workflows & controls to enable effective management and accuracy of loans data.
- Run workshops with stakeholders to capture business processes, metrics, dependencies and technology capabilities.
- Analyze business processes, translated into documented user stories and technology requirements.
- Apply lean process principles and process re-engineering methodologies and drive changes to policies and procedures.
- Analyze large data-sets and generate analytics-driven insights
- Drive accountability with stakeholders to meet the transformation goals of the organization
- Support creation of materials to report program status to stakeholders and regulators
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- 6+ years’ experience in financial services or management consulting firm
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills for development of project deliverables
- Prior experience leading and managing workstreams and project teams in structuring, coordination management of activities of analysts in creation of project artifacts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- Process improvement, metrics development, policy/procedure experience in financial services is a plus
- Experience in regulatory reporting process, regulatory remediation work in financial services firm is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced financial services firm

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
