The role we are offering you:
We are seeking an experienced leader to strengthen our Contracts team in Ottawa or Montreal. In this position, you will be responsible to oversee the contract management function for new business opportunities and current programs. This individual will be a key member of the Canadian Defense and Security team and lead a team of contract managers and negotiators in multiple locations, ensuring alignment with global policy and legal compliance. We are looking for a professional with inherent leadership qualities, and the attention necessary to ensure contractual obligations are met. You must have solid communication, analytical and people management skills. Are you ready to:
Oversee Contract Management of bids, proposals, and in-execution programs.
Manage the negotiations of contracts.
Develop, plan, and implement commercial plans and strategies.
Providing leadership, direction, and guidance to sales, capture managers, and program managers.
Manage existing client, contractor, and other stakeholder relationships.
Establish and manage long-term relationships with new contractors and other stakeholders.
Track, measure, and analyze commercial metrics.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate contract management.
Assist in the setting of financial targets and the development of program budgets.
Our ideal candidate has:
10 years in a similar role and business complexity.
Previous experience working for a business with the Government of Canada as a client or in the aviation industry. Having a background in both environments would be an asset.
Extensive experience in managing customers, suppliers and/or subcontractors in complex programs.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong leadership, communications, interpersonal, decision-making, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Strong business acumen.
Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level).
Be able to hold Government of Canada site/information access certifications, including accessing Protected “B” information, Controlled Goods Clearance, and ITAR Clearance.
Eligible to work in Canada.
Strong oral and written English language capabilities.
Fluency in French would be an asset.
