The Opportunity
Our location in Princeton, NJ currently has an opportunity for a Manager, Launch Excellence - TBI Launch Leader. This is our cross-functional product launch lead for our breakthrough TBI Whole Blood test. This role works closely with US Senior Management to set vision and strategy and lead execution to deliver established sales, margin and market share goals. The position reports to the DVP, US Commercial Operations and sits on the US Commercial Leadership Team. The role requires up to 50% travel. Strong leadership and collaboration skills are needed for cross departmental interactions with sales leadership, the sales team, contracts & pricing, marketing, medical affairs, field support services, commercial excellence, and operations.

What you'll work on
Lead the launch planning process for APOC’s game-changing TBI test; define regulatory, market access, pricing, distribution, sales force organization and promotion strategies and develop sales forecasts
Provide strong leadership and project management including clearly defined objectives/ priorities, established milestones, leading cross-functional teams to meet and exceed goals in a dynamic environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail. Coach and guide district managers and individual reps on best practices for successfully executing the TBI sales process and selection of which programmatic tactics to deploy for each opportunity while staying within overall budget.
Act as a strategic “think tank” for Senior Management on key business initiatives and issues; understand business dynamics and competitive trends markets and proactively plan for potential impact on APOC’s business in the category
Build novel strategies for market access, consumer awareness building, advocacy engagement, KOL engagement, etc that incorporate learnings from other businesses and divisions to ensure successful adoption of our breakthrough technology
Identify and evaluate business development opportunities (e.g., co-promotions with other manufacturers, partnerships with professional organizations)
Perform complex business and financial analysis (e.g., customer segmentation, marketing ROI, customer promotion responsiveness, etc.) that yields actionable insights that increase market share, sales and margin
Identify key business questions/issues, formulate hypotheses, collect data necessary to evaluate the hypotheses, perform analysis and summarize conclusions/ recommendations with minimal guidance
Support US Commercial Leadership in the development and delivery of business reviews
Travel up to 50% of the time, supporting the TBI sales process, overseeing local program execution (e.g., dinner programs, grand rounds, etc), engaging with customers and field personnel.
Deliver proactive, transparent, and effective communications cadence to ensure timely sharing of information with the executive leadership teams, product teams, and matrix stakeholders.
Supervise and mentor staff, proactively supporting their professional development
Engage and manage external consultancies and agencies as appropriate
Participate in sales meetings, training and industry trade shows
Required qualifications
B.A., B.S., or M.S. degree preferably in a technical field (e.g., biological or chemical sciences)
At least 10 years of experience in healthcare is needed with background in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics or devices.
Demonstrated track record of success in product launches, ideally in IVD or medical devices.
Demonstrated robust analytical individual skills related to financial modeling, market analytics, ongoing performance – the ability to execute independently and through others while maintaining a high-standard of deliverables.
Relentless curiosity— proactively anticipating risks; demonstrated ability to uncover hidden insights, take ownership of problems, resolve ambiguities, exercise sound judgment and independently determine appropriate course of action where precedent may not exist.
An approachable and credible communication style, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills; to keep all levels of the organization informed, engaged and motivated.
Intellectual agility - able to pivot based on shifting priorities and balance multiple projects seamlessly in a fast-paced environment.
