ROLE SUMMARY

The Generative AI Medical Content Lead will drive leadership in AI-based scientific innovations and engagements across medical affairs initiatives. This role works closely across Global Medical Categories, Pfizer Digital, and other cross functional stakeholders to lead+ strategies and initiatives advancing the science of AI across Pfizer’s therapeutic areas: Oncology, Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Vaccines.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive execution of AI strategies and AI-based scientific initiatives across the enterprise in partnership with Medical and cross-functional colleagues
• Ensure teams are learning from successes by leading Community of Practice(s), adapting direction based on failures and reporting AI-related KPIs/metrics to the organization  
• Lead and support internal cross-functional teams via emails, training sessions, and workshops for generative AI initiatives
• Deliver insights that inform medical AI strategies through scientific exchange, including those from technology/AI-focused congresses, to ensure teams are advancing the science of generative and multimodal AI
• Navigate an evolving ecosystem of AI teams including colleagues from Global Medical Affairs Category Teams, Digital, Evidence Generation, GAV, and R&D.
• Represent Pfizer externally with external clinicians and AI experts to establish scientific presence at international/regional meetings and with key institutions
• Stay abreast of the external trends and technologies in AI for Medical and continuously seek to innovate, ensuring Pfizer leads in a rapidly evolving space.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

What You Will Achieve
Vaccine Account Managers (VAM) collaborate with Pfizer partners to grow appropriate use of Pfizer Vaccines and the overall immunization rates of organized customers by identifying shared objectives, aligning resources and deploying innovative solutions to achieve targeted clinical and business results.

This is accomplished through identifying, prioritizing, and managing opportunities to affect access, immunization practices, programs, education, and processes that will increase the appropriate use of Pfizer vaccines. A VAM’s primary focus is to ensure access to the Pfizer vaccine portfolio by leading contract negotiations with assigned customers and to improve immunization rates through the development of productive relationships with key decision makers.
Areas of customer focus include but are not limited to administrative and decision making roles of all levels at integrated health systems, large hospital systems, health insurance plans, state departments of health, county/city health departments, coalitions, military accounts (VA/DoD), advocacy groups/coalitions, and CBOs. • Provide guidance, lead/co-lead projects, manage own time to meet objectives, and plan resource requirements for projects across the department.

• Assure projects are completed within approved scope, budget, schedule, and alignment with the master plan.

• Assist project sponsors with the preparation of Capital Project Appropriation requests (CPAs).

• Effectively interact with leadership and partner with Operations to establish priorities and define requirements for the portfolio of projects within the assigned area.

• Maintain technical skills in the latest techniques for project management and pharmaceutical processing technology.

• Work in a business partner relationship with operations to lead and manage a portfolio of high-impact, high-criticality capital projects supporting update and expansion of operations at Pfizer's product manufacturing facility.

• Ensure our pharmaceutical capital investments use the best technology, have the best outcomes for our business, and align with contemporary standards.

• Serve as subject matter expert for one or more critical processing areas.

• Possess and maintain a working familiarity with current industry best practices in these areas.

• Lead all aspects of facility planning for the site, including facility strategies, execute facility capital projects, determine facility capital investments etc.

• Interface with engineering team to ensure project compliance with applicable Pfizer Global Manufacturing (PGM) standards, follow all PGM best practices and comply with Pfizer Quality Standards.

• Develop business plans to enable forecasting and occupant tracking system.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Applicant must have HS Diploma with ten years of relevant experience.

• OR an Associate's degree with eight years of experience.

• OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience.

• OR a Master’s degree with more than three years of experience.

• OR a Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience.   

• Good working knowledge of {Current} Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP} and facility/equipment validation requirements.

• Demonstrated commitment to values-based leadership.

• Strong project and process management skills.

• Ability to track performance against approved plans and react appropriately to unexpected outcomes.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations.

• User level computer knowledge for completing documentation and email.

What You Will Achieve

Pfizer Rare Disease is seeking an experienced sales specialist for the continued promotion of Oxbryta (Voxelotor). The Sickle Cell Therapeutic Specialist responsibilities include developing a comprehensive strategic business plan that includes specific, measurable, and action-oriented objectives to ensure they achieve/exceed their sales goals. They must demonstrate the ability to target and strategically manage their territory.  The SCTS will manage funds and resources efficiently and ethically to maximize sales to ensure ROI.  The SCTS will report directly to the Area Business Manager.  This role provides the opportunity to be part of a first in class sales team with responsibility for an exciting product that will positively impact and change the course of Sickle Cell treatment.

SCTS Competencies & Behaviors:

• Territory Optimization – The SCTS will lead and collaborate with Pfizer partners to develop Pfizer Rare Disease Products' appropriate use by identifying shared objectives, aligning resources, and deploying patient-centric innovative solutions to achieve targeted business results. The SHSS will analyze the Sickle Cell Centers and Sickle Cell Clinics and execute strategies to meet/exceed sales goals.

• Selling Skills and Sickle Cell Centers/Clinics Value Delivery – Effectively communicate with customers to provide immediate follow-up on service requests, deliver high-impact sales presentations, and demonstrate a best-in-class level of account and technical knowledge. Effectively utilize marketing materials, programs, and other company offerings and resources to educate customers, build meaningful relationships, and drive performance within the Rare Disease Sickle Cell portfolio. Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of the complexities of the changing healthcare environment are critical to the SCTS role in assessing how these changes affect the various customer segments we serve. In addition, SCTSs must strictly abide by all company policies and applicable government regulations.

• Team Contribution – Lead Pfizer's Rare Disease portfolio in the Sickle Cell Centers and Clinics within the territory.  Act as a resource to the national brand teams in driving awareness of the Center and Clinic needs. Support teammates by leading or collaborating while supporting our Rare Disease Culture.

How You Will Achieve It

• Form collaborative partnerships with decision-makers at large Centers, Clinics, and Hospitals to conduct need assessments and deliver compliant solutions to increase access and the appropriate use of Oxbryta (Voxelotor).

• Utilize advanced selling skills and approaches to achieve sales target goals.

• Possess in-depth expertise of assigned products, and their therapeutic areas, including advanced selling skills, conflict resolution, in-depth knowledge of payer and market issues, patient service offerings, competitors, and disease states.

• Responsible for commercial communications and contact with KOLs, Associated HCPs, and patient support staff.

• Collaboratively work with Trade and Payer colleagues to execute national and regional payer strategies.

• Work with government relations to develop productive relationships to establish state policies and ensure the implementation of the appropriate tactics for all brands.

• Lead the local coordination of internal colleagues at targeted accounts through communication and collaboration to ensure alignment across various stakeholders to maximize opportunities and enable pull-through of access. Collaboration partners include sales colleagues, government relations, Payer Channel Access (PCA), marketing, and other Pfizer colleagues.

• Prioritize customers, opportunities, and projects to maximize impact, leveraging all available data sets and stakeholder input to optimize decision-making.

• Execute marketing programs across customer segments using approved materials to deliver value-added messaging in a compelling and compliant manner; develop and execute strategic programs and have near, mid, and long-term market and financial impact.

• Drive innovation approaches that help exceed business objectives by proactively engaging leadership.

• Provide the marketing and strategy teams with key local and customer-specific insights that they can then utilize in crafting new market-specific materials.

• Cultivate relationships and generate support from the Sickle Cell Centers, KOLs, and organizational decision-makers (both public and private).

• Maintain active customer plans and data sets via company planning resources, actively maintaining and sharing such information with areas business partners

• Exceed product performance objectives for assigned portfolio of rare disease products.  Tactical Business Objectives (TBO) include, but are not limited to portfolio utilization, internal teamwork/collaboration, project management and administration.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• BS/BA Degree Required

• 5-10 years of previous pharmaceutical/biotech experience with at least three years spent in specialty sales (strongly preferred) or a promoted position or developmental role with demonstrated leadership across peer groups with experience selling in a specialized market.

• Must be a colleague in good standing with a history of sales success, strong territory management skills, outstanding communications skills, demonstrated teamwork, leadership ability and accountability.

• Demonstrated track record of assessing account needs and bringing compliant cross-functional tools and resources to drive performance.

• Demonstrated track record of solid business acumen, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project management skills, as well as excellent planning and prioritization skills.

• Experience working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred.

• Demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills and ability to analyze and draw compliant conclusions using sales data and call reporting applications.

• Must have practical interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to advance and influence the acceptance of ideas while consistently following and supporting company policies

• Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.

• Valid U.S. driver's license and a driving record in compliance with company standards

• Attend and participate in all Regional and National Sales Meetings

• 3-4 overnights for meetings per quarter.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $96,700 to $217,000. In addition, this position offers an additional quarterly Sales Incentive bonus.
