About the job:
As a Qualified Social Worker focusing on Children in Need in Halton, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and their families. Working within a dedicated team, you'll assess, plan, and implement effective interventions to ensure the best outcomes for children facing various challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Planning:
Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs, strengths, and risks.
Develop and implement child-focused care plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Direct Work with Children and Families:
Engage directly with children and families, building rapport and promoting their involvement in the decision-making process.
Provide emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance to families in need.
Partnership Working:
Collaborate with partner agencies, schools, health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare.
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings and case conferences.
Child Protection:
Act as the lead professional in child protection cases, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Work closely with legal professionals and attend court hearings as required.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
Prepare clear and concise reports for case conferences, reviews, and legal proceedings.
Requirements:
· 1 year of qualified Social Work experience
· DBS on the Update Service or happy to apply for one
· 5 years of satisfactory references
· Driving License with access to a vehicle
· SWE Registered
