The Opportunity
The Adobe Experience League team is looking for a dynamic, versatile, technical Data Engineer. Adobe Experience League is where Adobe’s DX business customers learn how to get the most value from their Adobe investment. It is also a showcase for Adobe’s own technologies. This is a unique opportunity to leverage all of Adobe’s latest and greatest digital marketing tech to provide Adobe with actionable insights that improve customers’ learning experiences. You will develop, manage, and optimize our data environment to support our sophisticated analytics and data science initiatives.
What you'll do
Designing, develop & tune data products, applications, and integrations from various data sources (MongoDB, Adobe Analytics, Khoros, SQL server, etc.) with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability and data quality.
Work with information architects, web engineers and solution architects to design and implement data solutions for combining website analytics, product usage data, and financial data.
Develop and extend design patterns, processes, standards, frameworks, and reusable components for various data engineering functions/areas.
Implement standard methodologies for data processing, ETL, and data modeling within Databricks or a similar environment.
Analyze the business needs, profile large data sets, and build custom data models and applications to drive the Adobe business decision making and customers experience.
Develop robust data pipelines that support complex data transformations and aggregations to be ingested by visual layers like Power BI and application layers like Adobe Experience Platform and Marketo.
What you need to succeed
Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering related technical field
5+ years of strong hands-on experience in enterprise data warehousing / big data implementations & complex data solutions and frameworks.
Strong SQL, ETL, scripting and or programming skills with a preference towards Python, Java, Scala, shell scripting.
Demonstrated ability to clearly form and communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to isolate, deconstruct and resolve complex data / engineering challenges.
Proven record in leading data projects and pipelines.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be a team player, and manage change effectively.
Familiarity with Marketing Data
Preferred experience
Demonstrated skill designing, developing, and supporting database applications.
Experience with Database Schemas, Databases, data warehouse, and related scripts.
Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform, Real-time CDP experience is a plus.
High level understanding of web traffic data. (e.g., unique visitors, visits, page views etc.)
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $106,300 -- $210,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
