The position of Class 1 Night Trunk Driver involves:
- This will involve trunking between various depots, making multi-drop collections and deliveries within the Pallet Network.
- Loading and unloading of vehicle using a LST and double deck trailer.
- Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver:
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of using double deck trailers is advantageous.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
