As a Education Autism Practitioner, you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils and young people we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. You will help prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with plenty of hands-on experience and some supervision too. You will take responsibility for their emotional and physical needs, supporting them to develop as individuals and engage with the world.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for passionate staff who want to support pupils with a variety of complex needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Non-Verbal and Pre-Verbal and Communicational difficulties and more. You will be required as a part of your role to undertake personal care duties to support our students.

We would love to hear from candidates who have their GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths, but you don’t need any experience to join our team. About the role

Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during practical sessions.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in hairdressing, beauty therapy, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

The role

You will plan and deliver engaging learning on a daily basis, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. Working as a Teacher with us is not your average teaching role. Our class sizes are small, so you are able to create a nurturing learning environment designed around each individual’s needs, spending quality time with each pupil. You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising pupils as they explore further afield.
