Due to growth in our service, we are recruiting for a Primary Teacher to join our wonderful team at New Barn School located in Newbury!

Job Summary and Duties

Working as a Primary Teacher for New Barn School, you will deliver fun educational based learning which is tailored to each of our pupils to ensure they will achieve positive results.

The role will be challenging but rewarding, working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference. You will be expected to lead the teaching of and co-ordinate flexible, person-centred programmes of study for individuals and groups of pupils. You will be able to demonstrate a practical, hands-on approach to teaching and be prepared to go above and beyond for the young people we support.

Duties will include:

Teaching a varied range of subjects
Preparing, planning and assessing teaching sessions whilst maintaining an awareness of curriculum developments
Writing and implement individual education plans, making assessments of educational attainment, setting challenging yet achievable targets
Build relationships with all young people, which will encourage their interest and participation in their education
Creating an environment which is stimulating and purposeful for all pupils to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings
Key Skills Required:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status
Have a background of teaching a range of subjects at Primary Level, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level
Knowledge of current education issues in relation to terms of practise, process and curriculum
Be experienced in working within an SEN setting, supporting pupils and young people with challenging behaviour (SEMH/EBD)

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairing tasks.

As an EYFS Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupil’s achievement and ability to develop.

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Hours: 37.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Groveside School is a Brand-New School proposed to open in September 2024. We are looking for a Pastoral Manager to join us in September 2024. Groveside is set to be a 60 place school for pupils between 7 - 16 years old with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Job Purpose

To support the Leadership Team to establish effective strategies in all areas of pastoral care. To develop and implement long-term behaviour plans that will guide staff to support students to overcome barriers to learning and maximise the opportunities provided for them. Working under the direction of the Head Teacher and therapy team to provide support to all students in enabling them to achieve their potential both academically and socially.

Essential experience

Experience of work within an education setting
Knowledge of Ofsted Regulations and Standards
Pastoral management experience in a care setting or the special educational needs sector
Experience of driving and advising on best practice in relation to positive behaviour support

Job Title: Practitioner Psychologist and Site Lead/Lead Clinician

About the role

Working independently within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures you will work within existing MDT and Clinical Governance structures to support the services in future development and ensuring quality assurance.

Essential Criteria:

Degree in field of Psychology and HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist
Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
Experience of working with people who have an intellectual disability and/or autism with additional needs (e.g. complex trauma, mental health needs, behaviours of concern)
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage strategically
Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners
Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively
Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults.
Experience of lecturing/teaching/training
Skills in the management of data are also important as the role includes collecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of service delivery, development and project work.
