Electrical Design Manager - Hybrid - £120,000 per annum
Acorn by Synergie is looking for an Electrical Design Manager to join their client to lead electrical design for their battery energy storage and solar PV projects.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified individual to use their experience and creativity to work on HV electrical and ICP projects for a variety of renewable energy projects. The Electrical Design Manager will be responsible for leading electrical design, including equipment sizing and layout, system performance and operation parameter, outline design drawings, and programme of projects. Additionally, you will manage budgets and delivery, conduct feasibility studies, techno-economic analysis and energy modelling including EPC, PPA and EaaS across various renewables.
As Electrical Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing electrical project requirements and developing electrical designs
* Sizing electrical equipment
* Managing a Technical Team
* Producing drawings and models using AutoCAD/Revit
* Monitoring budget and ensuring projects are completed within budget
* Ensuring project performance meets customer expectations
* Providing technical guidance during the installation process
* Creating electrical design reports
* Overseeing all aspects of commissioning
* Liaising with stakeholders including clients, project managers, and other professionals
* Leading energy modelling activities including energy performance certificates (EPCs), power purchase agreements (PPAs), and energy-as-a-service (EaaS)
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A degree in Electrical Engineering. Achieved or or working towards chartered engineering status
* Excellent understanding of engineering principles associated with electrical design
* Demonstrated lead development skills including the ability to build project scopes and assess constructability of systems.
* Design management of battery energy storage projects
* Design management of transmission connected electrical projects (275kV - 400kV
* Design management of large scale solar projects.
