Days, nights, and weekend runs are available from Worcester depot.

Various start times are available with an average of 10-12 hours worked per shift. out of Worcester, Worcestershire, WR1.

This job is general haulage with no stores, multi drop or handball involved.

An ideal candidate will have:

• Class 1 HGV licence (Min 12 months)

• Have no more than 6 points on your licence

• All drivers must have full CPC & digi-tacho card

Job description

Our customer based in the Worcester area require Category C+E (HGV class 1) day and night drivers to join their professional, friendly logistics group.

Duties include trunking around the UK delivering ambient and palletised goods. Minimum age of 23 and 1 year experience (for insurance functions). This position is self-tip, which means deliveries can be taken off with an electric pump truck and taken into the store. Excellent centers onsite which include secure and safe parking.

Pay Rates:
£160-£190

Shifts available 7 days a week
Shift Pattern: Days/Nights

Planned week in advance.
Monday to Sunday shifts available (working within Working Time legislation)

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of items
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information

Requirements:

- Valid HGV Class 1 licence, CPC with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Ability to drive various types of HGV
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of cargo and long hours on the road
