Prepare lesson plans by selecting from and adapting instructor texts, guides, and/or commercial texts or developing a unique plan of instruction (POI) to meet the specific linguistic or pedagogical needs of a group of students when other guidance is unavailable.

Provide instruction to an extremely diverse student body from over 100 countries; students range in age from 18 to over 60 and come from varying cultural and religious backgrounds.

Teach ESL/EFL/ESP from basic elementary to advanced English to include: preparation for graduate level college courses; preparation for U.S. war colleges; over 24 specialty areas such as aviation, medical, explosive ordnance disposal; and both basic instructor development (train-the-trainer) and advanced instructor development and management of ESL courses.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide general office and to assist management in implementing program, publicity and marketing of library services. Shelves books, magazines, and other library materials ensuring all materials are re-shelved in correct order. Reviews the library collection to ensure library materials are maintained in correct order in their assigned areas. Checks condition of books in designated areas, removes obsolete/damaged materials for review by a librarian, and performs minor mending. Processes new, rebound, and reconditioned library materials for circulation and reference according to established procedures. Assists with annual inventory of collection. Assists with automated and manual circulation duties, registering and deleting customers, charging and discharging library materials, taking requests for reserves and interlibrary loans, and checking to ensure those requests are filled. Assists with processing overdues. Explains library rules to users and ensures that users observe library rules. Assists users in locating books and information using the Integrated Library System (ILS), online databases and other Internet resources and on the shelves, referring difficult questions to lead technician or librarian. Performs routine clerical tasks such as answering the telephone, taking messages, and referring callers or visitors to the appropriate staff member. Assists in maintaining and updating library statistics and filing. Assists in office account duties as needed. Uses a variety of computer and word processing software to prepare, email and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other documents. Following established procedures, assists with the library procurement/acquisition process. Assists in implementing programs, publicity, and the marketing of library services. Duties
1. This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.
2. Performs hazard and risk assessment and conducts a complete incident analysis. Drives and operates firefighting vehicles, such as pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, and Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles.
3. Performs crash-rescue and firefighting duties involving air traffic or support operations where hazardous conditions are such that the expectancy for fire is high and potential for becoming destructive is great.
4. Performs structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities, which may include large multistoried buildings, industrial areas, and/or base storage facilities. Performs rescue of personnel and a variety of first aid measures to alleviate further injury and prepare the victim(s) for transport to a medical facility.
5. Maintains firefighting equipment and fire station facilities. Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

• Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns. Retrieves data and uses data to respond to a variety of customer, program review, and vendor inquiries.
• Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to be the single point of contact for designing, developing, and evaluating technical training courses, instructional materials, and measurement devices through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions. Also responsible for supervising, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over subordinate employee(s) assigned to the Training Development element.

DUTIES:

• Serves as Training Development Element Chief, 382 TRS Training Development Element, developing strategic plans for the development of training courses at Ft Sam Houston and across 12 USAF medical treatment facilities located on 12 USAF military bases in subject-matter areas and groupings of courses aligned with Air Force (AF), Air Education Training Command (AETC), and unit objectives.
• Develops, reviews, and revises technical training courses, instructional materials, and measurement devices in accordance with AETC instructional guidance and AFI 41-105, Medical Training Programs.
• Represents the 382d Squadron Training Development Function with a variety of installation and functional area organizations to include those located at JBSA Ft Sam Houston and 12 USAF medical treatment facilities located across 12 military bases.
• Provides technical and administrative supervision to nine 382 TRS curriculum development managers (CDM), one test custodian, and ten career development course (CDC) writers within the Training Development Element.

- Performs GMV Training and Certification within the Training, Validation Office (TVO) and leads other military and civilians performing training. Trains newly assigned military vehicle operators on a wide range of vehicles to include buses, tractor trailer, forklifts, wrecker/recovery vehicles, passenger vans/buses ranging from 12 passengers to 55 passengers.

- Administers Installation GMV Licensing Function and Installation Vehicle Misuse Program. Performs Operator Records and Licensing functions within the TVO office issuing and updating GMV licenses for personnel across JBSA.

- Drives buses, tractor trailers and/or other vehicles typically having a GVW of more than 32,000 pounds to include wrecker/recovery vehicles, and one or more electric, LPG, or diesel-powered forklift trucks to facilitate loading and unloading duties. May be required to transport bulky and unwieldy items.

- Maintains records and documents actions. Properly completes operator/customer inspections checklists, forms and accident/incident reports as required.
