• Duty 1: Serves as the branch administrative support specialist for the assigned branch and section leader(s). Focuses on tasks, prepares a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondences, reports, and other documents from information obtained from the staff, files, and other sources.

• Duty 2: Serves as the unit administrative support specialist for all government related responsibilities. Serves as the ATAAPS Customer Service Representative (CSR), Timekeeper, Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS) and Forms & Account Management Service (FAMS) Monitor.

• Duty 3: Performs other administrative work in support of the office/organization including meeting support, special event planning, and program reviews. Independently creates meeting minutes and follows-up on action items/commitments made during meetings and conferences by Division leadership and staff members.

• Duty 4: Provides Administrative and Records Management. Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and standard processes, including electronic records management and document libraries ensuring effective and efficient operation of the office.

• Duty 5: Serves as the primary unit Activity Distribution Office (ADO) and Defense Travel System (DTS) Representative. Reviews and processes incoming and outgoing mail, correspondence, publications, regulations and directives associated.

To serve as the Administrative Assistant performing various administrative and clerical duties in support of the 72d Force Support
Squadron, reporting directly to the 72d FSS/FSR Resource Management Flight Chief. Performs office automation duties such as
word processing in support of the administrative and clerical work. The position is located in a multi-layered organization with
subordinate groups which differ from each other in terms of subject matter, function, relationships with other organizations and
administrative requirements. There is a system of formal internal procedures and administrative controls, formal coordination among
subordinate units and a formal progress reporting system which is sufficiently complex to require continuous attention on the part of
the administrative assistant. Prepares a wide variety of recurring and non-recurring correspondence, reports and other documents and
reviews and finalizes correspondence and documents prepared by others, handwritten or electronic drafts. Reviews and processes
incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations and directives. Receives telephone calls, greets visitors
and ascertains the name of the caller or visitor. Performs other administrative and clerical work in support of the office/organization.
Uses varied and advanced functions of word processing software to create, format, modify, edit and print a variety of letters, reports,
memos and other textural documents. Requisitions office supplies, printing support and related materials and services. Makes travel
arrangements, such as scheduling transportation and making reservations. Uses advanced functions to generate table of contents,
import graphs or databases, create glossaries and align multiple columns. Independently carries out familiar assignments in
accordance with previous instructions, standard procedures for creating documents or entering/retrieving data and established use of
software packages. Receives and transmits electronic mail. Gathers monitors and maintains data to complete reports. Responds to
inquiries and assists others. Actively participates in the organization substantive programs. Receives requests for information,
responsible for the accuracy of staff summary sheets, advises when the information can be furnished and provides it personally from
files and records or follows up with staff to see it is provided. Performs other related duties as assigned.
